Can't you just put $25 from your checking account in savings and use the credit card to buy groceries? I hate the MIR dance as much as anyone does, but you win if you get the rebate.

That's a great idea but what if the person wants to be a victim rather than someone inconvenienced? :/

  4. non-targetted ads helped me grow up on Americans Don't Want Targeted Ads · · Score: 5, Funny

If all I ever got was targeted ads I would know nothing about feminine hygiene products. Knowing these dirty little secrets that women have is part of being a teenager. I would have missed out on a lot of immaturity if all they showed me was ads for Atari 2600 games, pizza and the pepsi challenge.

Spike at one point was The Nashville Network.. which was a metaphor for White Trash TV. Now as Spike it symbolizes "Low IQ, High Testosterone TV"
Did anyone see Kimbo Slice on Spike last night?

By following TFA to the comments section you get led to ars which has a link to the judgement it says that the defendant did ask to have his auction reinstated and it was with no further requests from Autodesk to have it removed again. http://www.citizen.org/documents/vernororder.pdf

    Here is a quote:
In 2005, Mr. Vernor purchased an authentic, used AutoCAD package1 at a garage sale and put it up for auction on eBay. Autodesk responded by sending a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (âoeDMCAâ) notice to eBay claiming that the sale would infringe its copyright. EBay suspended the auction. Mr. Vernor responded with a DMCA counter-notice claiming that his sale was lawful, to which Autodesk never responded

I think the numbers are misleading. Of the $60B "saved".. how much of that would have been projects that never launched in the first place due to the cost involved with COTS software? I bet there was more than $60B saved by companies that pirate software. Perhaps there should be a story on how we could save a trillion dollars if only we'd stop doing things legally.

The biggest problem with the NH to MA commute for work is that if you own a home in NH you have elevated property tax which is then made worse by the fact that working in MA requires you to pay them 5.3% of your salary. If you can make it and spend it in NH that is the only way to take advantage of the lack of sales and income tax. It is for this reason that I rent. To own a home and work in MA would basically equate to double taxation.
