If any entities deserve some punitive taxation, these people and their lawyers should be it. They produce nothing and simply suck capital from the producers. How about a 90% tax rate on lawyer fees from lawsuits. Let's see how long the lawyers stick around. Oh wait - lawyers write the tax code, shit.

I ask because I don't know if they have any involvement.

  17. So what is too much on FCC Fights To Maintain Indecency Policy · · Score: 1

Reading these posts, has anyone asked what is too much. Is Janet Jackson's boob too much? Some will say yes, some no. What if she decided to give Justin a blowjob instead? Too much? Do you want you six year old daughter to see that? The issue is that there is no agreed upon definition of how much is too little or too much. It seems that in this case simply not allowing any would be most prudent. If you want to watch blowjobs, go to that channel. I can police what my children watch based on descriptions and ratings, it is the unknown that I can't. The "fleeting expletive" is another issue to me. In a live broadcast, participants sometimes do curse. That in my opinion is something out of the control of a broadcaster. When VP Biden mutters the f-bomb over an open mic, I don't think the broadcasters should be held accountable.

As a conservative, I always felt it was the corporation's responsibility to insure the highest possible return on investment to the company owners. However, if no one has work, then who will buy the products produced? Perhaps free trade has gone too far. Of course this will not be popular with our trading partners and treaty signers (NAFTA, etc.). With that said, I refuse to buy inferior products JUST because they are made in the USA. Detroit was handed their lunch by producing Pintos and Vegas when Civics and Corrolas were SO SUPERIOR.

One could argue the pornography may be easier to define based on the physical activities involved, but what about hate speech? Does Shawn Penn's comments qualify? David Duke? Rossie O'Donnell? This is right up there with defining racially motivated crime.

I'll give you one point - I hate ear-marks tagged onto other more important work. Other than that, you are a dumb f*&^. Why is it whenever dems want to enforce "PAYGO" it is the military that gets blasted. Let's look at the domestic side. Or how about a windfall profit tax on lawyer fees in law suits. How about 50%. But alas that will never work as almost 50% of the electorate is on the dole and once they realize they can vote for bread and circuses. Getting back to topic (sorry) the US without human launch capability it absolutely shameful. Who ever (Yes it probably was the republicans back then) allowed the shuttle to retire without properly funding NASA sufficiently to have ARES ready near 2010 should be soundly beaten. I take pride in NASA but it will be a sad day when the last shuttle lands and we have to rely solely on others for LEO travel. Let the negative moderation begin.
