I think F6 is fitting termed 'Inconceivable tornado' (from http://www.tornadoproject.com/fscale/fscale.htm) although that also says winds up to 380mph so you do have a point.

LTE is not a speed - it is a technology. So that comparison doesnt mean anything. And this is just nit picking but all the LTE implementations that I have read about are much faster than the HSPA+ networks but, again, that doesnt mean much since LTE can be of any speed.

that is a categorically false statement. people on facebook and twitter want you to know certain things about them. (for example people dont post when they accidentally shit themselves, but taking shots with hotties = post!)

some people (like myself) make a point to tailor the information that is posted / accessible so that i am seen in only a certain light. this has become increasingly important as companies use our social presence to make decisions about us. to the point that i created a twitter with my real name so that i can have what i post that definitely attributed to myself. (its all work related and makes me seem like a hero). if you havent done this yet, do it now. and post there every so often with a mind to create a stellar professional image.

  12. the mirror is outdated - QED on Ask Slashdot: Mirrorless, Interchangeable Lens Camera Advice? · · Score: 1

the mirror is outdated - QED. that technology is simply extra parts when you think about how a digital camera works. there really is zero reason to have a mirror in the camera, all it does is make the device bigger and heavier. look into the micro 4/3rds line of camera, i love the G1 that i have. camera + 3 lenses comes to ~$1200 total, giving me everything from 16mm to 400mm. and it doesnt hurt my back when im walking around with the kit

  13. Re:DSLR on Ask Slashdot: Mirrorless, Interchangeable Lens Camera Advice? · · Score: 1

Mirrorless basically gets you a smaller camera

so mirrorless is all advantage and no disadvantage? i agree with your statement 100% the only drawback for the mirrorless is that you typically get more framecrop, but the lenses take that into account - the G1 i have now came with a 14mm (and a 2x frame crop) yielding 28mm which is just fine. the 8mm lens (16mm realized) is fantastic especially since it opens up to f1.7 this is coming from someone with a micro 4/3 mirrorless and has had lots of SLRs and one DSLR (D70).
