So if Mahatma Gandhi would have had a web site when forcing Britain to leave India by arranging demostrations - civil disobediansce - would they have been considered terorists ?
Well, as usual. Delaying means that the proponents for the issue has time to come forward with another proposal - which may sound completely different but in essence is the same proposal again. This new proposal will be said tio be a good comprimise to try and convine the undecided to vote for the proposal.
3 days is too short a time to bother for most people.
I think if the Linux cersion was out 4 weeks before the PC version it would make a difference.
But I doubt that anyone will have the guts to do that. Maybe if someone had the guts to make a beta version or demo avaibale for Linux only - that would be fun.
So the article author took the othere side when MS spin machine tried to blaim 3-rd party vendord for many bug! He has no responsibility to repeat FUD.
For some the glas is half-empty for other it's half full.
PS Aint many 3-rd party device drivers certified by MS - and thus MS should really take responisbility for those crashes too ?
There exist a networked graphical game inspired by nethack called Crossfire
"Crossfire is an open source, cooperative multiplayer graphical RPG and adventure game. Since its initial release, Crossfire has grown to encompass over 150 monsters, about 3000 maps to explore, an elaborate magic system, 12 races, 15 character classes, a system of skills, and many artifacts and treasures. Crossfire is based in a medieval fantasy world and is similar to other games of this genre."
Sadly it lacks Nethacks humor but othereiwse it is playable.
However it's not very profitable to sue someone who do not have a lot of cash. It will cost more than it taste.
Secondly if you are bright enough to code you should be bright enought to know that you should not use ideas that are patented by the company you work for.
So the risk for anyone involved are very small. If it happens the maintainer of the free software should just remove the offending code and rewrite it using another algorithm.
This is also not a risk that only effekts users of free software; users of closed software has the same risk. However usually the patente holder goes after the company not the programmer...
The last article is wrong. Sweden will not make P2P against the law - however some uses of P2P will be against the law. It's based on an journalist who made a fool of himself by writing an articla based on what the Swedish Minister of Justice said when announcing the law - instead of looking at the law proposal itself.
The hournalist was from an news agenxy which distributed the article so got printed in way to many papers - sadly since large portions od it was not according to what the law proposal said.
On the othere hand the law proposal is nearly 600 pages of boring text so it's kind of understandable if people do not boteher to read it.
Got two printed copies on my desk right now - one annotated by myself.
Thats why the procedure should displays the name of the candidate you vote on so you have to confirm it one more time before the vote is accapted - i.e. so not the user accidently press on the wrong candidate.
There does not exist any communistic countries and AFAIK never has - it does however exist dictaturs who proclaim to be communistic countries.
Its a difference you know.
Actually this does not in any way forbid cpomputer resellers to sell computers with Micosoft's software installed.
As long as software are open source of course!

Probably!
Ever heard of the ASF file format ?
Americas Army is very addictive.
Sadly there is a slump in EU too...
Norway is a mamber of EES - European Economic Space - thus are then required to implement EUCD.
EES is a treaty to cooperate with the EU on some areas. EUCD is in one of these areas.
Finally one reason for people to upgrade to 3G.

Well all open soruce plug-in is no problem since you can compile them with the new compiler - however propriotory plugin-in are a big problem.
It shows why using free software is better than closed software.
Mozilla is free software so if you want you can still compile it yourself using the old compiler.
Well for Linux they only turn it on once - then they just lock the screen when they go home for the day.
Maybe they turn it off during a longer holiday.
With a Linux desktop there is no need to turn the computer on and off all the time!

Yes, it can happen.

That schema is stolen from a movie.
This is Slashdot - the Linux community will support it!
PNG has slowly gained acceptance so why not ?
Wap is dead.
It was really half-dead from the start.
Like Micrsosoft Windows XP ? Direct X ? Active/X
Actually, its only more expensive hardware för Windows users since Linux users can get a refund!
So basically it becomes a good reason to swap to Linux!
This can mean the ed to the the MS tax!
