I'm going second this recommendation. I've got an RT-16N and it's a pleasure to work with. Between the USB ports, the decent amount of RAM and flash... and the peppy CPU... It's more than one should expect for the price.
Yes. You can limit the total number of purchasers. You can also set restrictions on how customers use the deal. For example, if you're a restaurant you can limit the use of Groupons per table or per order.
Do a google search for the subject of my post - it's the application of CS to Science and Engineering, without being specific to the particular sci/eng field.
Run your favourite 3rd party firmware on it (openwrt, dd-wrt, tomato, whatever) - it's specs are pretty awesome for the bucks. 128M Ram, 32M flash, two usb ports, N wireless, 480Mhz Broadcom/MIPS cpu (~twice as fast as most others).
I use crashplan - it's free as in beer... cross platform and does "to disk" backups - either to a local disk or a disk on a remote system. It does data de-duplication, compression, encryption and only backs up thing that have changed.
My gaming group played AD&D until 3rd edition came out (and skipped 2nd edition)... we plan on playing 3.X until 5th edition is available.
Considering the investment we've put into books over the past 8 years - we're not just dropping those books to buy into a new version. So, should we plan on another 8 years? (Ye gods, I'll be in my mid-40s then and my son who's in kindergarten will be in High-school...)
I'm trying to assume that's humour... but that said...
If you have a farm of replicated mysql servers (which are read only - as replication is one way here) you need a db to write to.... not reading from it reduces the load on that server.
So, assuming that your read-mostly - it's actually a nice way to balance the load across multiple systems.

I got that when I googled "novatel 4620l ports"...
Apparently Hostess brands in Canada are unaffected - you'll be able to import twinkies... ;)

Are people bad at math or something?
From their FAQ:
Can I set limits on my deals?

That's a loaded and subjective statement - care to back it up?

Um, all the world lives in one area code, do they? ;)
Use more WAPs and adjust the TX power down - then you can have greater density.

www.crashplan.com
...would have been a much better title. :D
Christ - that should be a top level story unto itself... :D
I was wondering about that myself... it's a bizarre url either way.
I don't know that it would be wise to use that url even if it fit the story!
It's better when you can hear it. ;)
I haven't seen anything that says he's selling ads - can you point me at it?
Actually, they're just bringing the brand back... that should have been in the summary - but it does encourage one to read the article. ;)
Bravo. You sir have the honour of having the funniest reply that I have seen _ever_ on slashdot. If I could mod you higher than 5 - I would.

Nope, it's already 2:55 Friday afternoon. You can relax for now.
Either way, your ping times are gonna suck. ;)

"Two officers involved in the incident have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation."
Hey - it looks good on a resume... but it won't exactly get you bonus points at a LUG meeting.

This one is a real article... what's a real article doing here today of all days? The holiest of holies on slashdot?
