"You won't have this luxury come next release! Microsoft has Epic in its pockets"
Unless I missed some further details (and I'm sure I did), all the recent deal was, was Epic confirming that they will be bringing two games to the XBox. Unreal Championship came quite some time ago to the same platform, and yet Epic are still supporting Linux as well.
You know, it sounds remarkably like you want to stack your PC upside down, rather than go through the rigmarole of buying a whole new one. That might be just me, though...
Sorry, I couldn't disagree more. The Playstation pad (actually the DualShock, as I never played a pre-DS machine) was the first ever pad I could reliably use, rather than keeping to machines that had sticks.
What you see as a problem, because you can't get diagonals easily, I thought was a Godsend, as previously I would constantly push diagonals by accident.
"don't you think it's just a bit much to say they are "harming" every other player in the game? I mean, it's just a game."
Don't be so deliberately obtuse. If it was 'just a game' that being rendered unplayable by cheats wasn't a big deal, then people wouldn't have spent upwards of $250 (for machine, Live subscription and game) in order to be able to play it.
If an idiot makes a $250 investment worthless, then its blatently obvious they are harming people.
I saw that comment in the header too, and I just plain don't understand it.
If you don't plan to use XBox Live, what on earth is your machine doing connected to the internet in the first place? Just because its got an Ethernet port on the back, its hardly a big loss when playing non-online games to not connect the thing.
Forget cleaning, I'm more concerned with replacing things.
Right now, I can stick my PDA, Walkman, Phone and watch (or even leave behind those bits I'm not needing) in the pockets of any item of clothing with pockets big enough to store them. This way, I only need one of each, and replace the one component that needs to be done if it breaks or is replaced with a better model.
Stick it all built into clothes, and you've not only massively increased the price of the clothes, but I need to worry about which jacket I've stored the record I want to listen to, the fact that I've lost my diary information because the trousers it was stored in have a hole in the knee, and what to do when my favorite T-Shirt is Orange, and won't take a Vodaphone Sim card.
"The vampires in Blade don't seem all that concerned with hiding themselves from mortal eyes."
Well, yes and no. A major plot element of Blade is the struggle between the elder vampires, who want to maintain the secrecy of vampires, and the new guys led by Frost who would rather take over the world than hide from it.
At the end of the day, though, Blade (the comic) was written long before VtM.
I'm surprised you've left Hitman 2 off your list - a game that had to be recalled because its initial release was so offensive. There is a mission where you're gunning down "religious extremists" that just happen to look rather like the guys killed in the Amritsar massacre, on a level design that bears more than a passing resemblance to Amritsar too. All done in the most dour of "realistic" tone possible.
Rather more dodgy than the comedy stylings of the GTA series, which had its tongue rammed right through its cheek ever since the first game, I'd say.
"18. In the World of Darkness, the history of the vampires is written in an ancient text. In Underworld, the history of the vampires is written in ancient texts."

31. In the World of Darkness, the background setting is very dark, described as gothic/punk. In Underworld, the background setting is very dark, with a combination of gothic and punk attire, settings, and people. " etc. etc.
Wesley Snipes, please come to the White courtesy phone. White Wolf want a can of Whoop-ass, face first.
While I, as a mere gamesplayer, think this is a definite Good Thing, I just dread to think what the lawyers at Activision, who have already sued Paramount for diluting the Star Trek license, think - they publish the Jedi Knight games, don't they?
Who would splash down real cash for the frankly poor Jedi Outcast when there are better-looking mods for free?
What on God's Green Earth does this have to do with the story? The only car referenced is one in a computer game. For that matter, I don't recommend trying to play Halo while driving either.
"Some of the crazies who post on nana-e even have the whole country of Brazil banned on their private lists."
So? I have the whole of many countries on my private list; since I don't know anyone in them, I've no reasonable expectation that someone would want to email me from there. I also have most of the webmail places and several major ISPs listed for the same reason.
Sometimes I think it might be easier to go whitelist, but I've not gone that far yet.
I suspect this is simply because he is an Outlook user who is suffering because of the number of 'bounced' (except they never came from him) viruses.
Its not specifically an Outlook problem (though one of the things the virus does is scan the Outlook address book for places to propogate to), but its a sufficiently widespread program that for some its synonymous with 'mail client'. Not that I'd make that mistake when there were hordes of/. users ready to attack me for doing so...
While the Times is generally considered to be more reputable, yes, its still part of News International, that wonderful conglomeration that brought you Fox News, Sky News and so on.
Its true that the Sunday Times is a touch more reputable than the Sun, but since they are both part of News International its entirely possible they use the same source.

Mind you, I still prefer zxplm.

No, but you do need the box connected to the Internet when you're playing a game that you won't be using multiplayer.
Why would you do that anyway?

"one word: edlin"
You utter git. I'd managed to forget that.

New Line point out that they own the rights to Blade, and White Wolf ought to get to the back of the damn queue.

House Of Dracula (1945) - Dracula Vs. The Wolf Man Vs. Frankenstein's Monster, basically.
More realistically, the whole film looks remarkably like it should be titled "Romeo & Blade".
It must have been a glitch.
Quality post sir. The thought of Reason(tm) being used on spammers has just made my morning.

Or, indeed, one of my favorite Simpson's quotes:
Lets burn down the Observatory so this never happens again!
I'm a pile of dirt, you insensitive rock!

I don't know where you are in the UK, but I've been seeing cheap copies of Kingdom Hearts in the London area for a while now.
Its because 63 'playerx died' messages each need to be sent to all 64 players. 63x64=4032
Personally, I'd be more concerned with the 63 loads of gibbed players the remaining one has to draw on screen at once, but there you go.
