    except its not an easter egg. desktop has the biggest possible tile visible as soon as you boot up. its literally a single left click away.

    its always a point-to-point transmission, even when a proper tv crew with a satellite uplink broadcasts news. They transfer it to some central broadcasting station from where it is overlaid with graphics and all and then broadcasted. In this case the tv crew and their satellite van is just replaced by a smartphone.

    this. the interface of google's services is becoming nicer to look at and harder to actually use. I dare you to try to sign out from gmail on a cellphone. an android cellphone. open the gmail page in the main browser, and sign in. and sign out is nowhere.

    my original comment was about the shitty camera only. i wouldn't have minded if it had a decent camera like samsung's phones. but they made a positively crappy camera and are trying to pass it off as something better.

    I know a decent bit about photography. And what you said is true after a certain threshold of number of pixels has been crossed. I feel that the threshold is considerably higher than 4MP.

    The 4MP camera on the HTC performs well in low-light. But the well-lit photos actually do suffer from low resolution. A better alternative is the Lumia 920's camera. It does incredible low-light and has decent number of pixels too.

    There's no comparison between Samsung's latest phone and the newest iphone. Their ads just want to point that out. People need to know that iphones are shit compared to a galaxy S2/3/4 and the best way to tell them is by insulting iphone users.

    yeah such a nice 4MP camera lol! when nokia wanted good low-light performance they made a 41MP camera, and htc makes a shitty 4MP.

    i dunno about iphone but this problem is extremely apparent on the 4g ipad. load up a couple of tabs, go to the music player, go back to safari. reload all webpages.

    and besides all this, my old win xp desktop had 256MB ram. browsers running on it didnt forget all tabs when you started using the music player. the basic truth is that android is too aggressive with memory management. 2GB of ram should be enough to hold a couple of webpages.

    i'm pretty sure the guys at nasa writing code for the mars rover are doing it in a lot more careful way than those impulsive hacks at facebook or the iTunes team. murphy's law is supposed to be obliterated by engineering.

    to disable this behavior and use the uncompressed browser, hold down the '0' key. the browser instance launched like this will not be compressing any data because it connects directly to websites. but its obviously quite inferior to the standard browser.
