    And on my 2010 Core i3 laptop with 2GB RAM, it's mostly OK, but the Cortana stuff is a bit slow at times.

    You're the demographic that caused IE6. Latching on to one version and sticking your head deep up the ass, while shouting lalalalala... Seriously, just fucking upgrade to a decent modern OS. Move to a new Linux distro, or buy a new Mac, or upgrade to Windows 10. At this point, Win7 is just old and senile. And you using it indicates you haven't evaluated the new OSes and this is just your laziness talking.

    Modern physics has evolved into a discipline in which we can treat the universe as an information processor. Everything depends on information. In fact, the speed of light is considered to be more of a speed limit on the propagation of information, not just light. According to our present understanding, there exist several places in the universe that seem to trap information, and it seems that information is lost. Loss of information like this raises many other questions of importance that I am totally unfit to describe.

    This. It was too damn slow! Even on respectable speeds, the UI is too heavy and CPU intensive. And forget about loading it on mobile. Facebook had a low-fi website even for old feature phones.

    What's the big deal with a battery swap? I would think that waiting 20 min to get an 80% charge for free would be much more preferable to paying $80 and getting a battery that might have seen abuse and wear. Charging is the future. We just need to bring it down to 10 minutes.

    And Ola forces you to either pre-pay or pay in cash before you get out of the car. It's a big hassle. Uber is miles better. You can pay whenever you want with a credit card, or you can pre-pay. No cash, no hassle at the end of your ride. Also, the app accepts destination coordinates. I literally don't need to interact with the driver at all.

    Microsoft downloads are always surprisingly fast for me. A decade of patch Tuesdays when everyone and their mom downloads gigabytes of updates on the same day seems to have perfected their content delivery system.
