punkbuster still has problems with vista 64bit. Its a shame that they dont jump onto the beta so they know their product will work on it. something tells me they have a very small staff so looking at betas is the lowest task on their list, such a same.
in 30-40 years the people writing the books may say different about today too. Its all up to the writers and that leaves tons of room for their two cents.
well it would depend on what the bug is, take a look at how long it takes them to fix some of the bugs that have been released, and if they just slap a patch out does it break something else. To me it makes sense that they get 464 bugs a month from their os's. just look at all the different types of hardware configs and software out there, to me I think that number is really low. And i know I'm going to get a troll status on this and a *nux users going to say thats why they have a crappy os, *nix has it fair share of bugs, just not as documents and ordered by a court to see all of them.
ok that's good XP is faster than Vista or Win7 on dual cores....why do i care... hm looking at my screen right now Im running more than one app none of them are dual core aware. Only the OS is. Does the average Joe know how to set a program to the second core or do they just leave it to the os to figure out?
So here is what i want to know. Windows is able to see the second core so does it take the lower used item and send them over to it while they sleep? Like the services it loads or does it just stay on the first core? If Windows could move things over to the second core by itself for sleeping apps it may become faster for the standard apps that dont know about the second core.
Its the greed state not just the company but the employees too. Ask anyone around you right now, Are you working here for the love of the company or the paycheck? 90% of them will say paycheck. If your doing something cause you love it your working for a non-profit company other wise you work for a profit "Yours".
Im willing to bet if you have a solid job now you also have a house, car and family. Tell me does the company give you food or pay for those things or the cash they pay you do that and if someone came around offering your more would you turn it down?
like i said its not something they can test every day with the portable towers. I'm with you, you can only fit so much in one area, the only way around is to have them on differnet channels but most people dont have phones that can switch channels by themselfs(i may have to edit this again need to see if i can find a phone that can)
I think most companies learned a lesson on 9/11 when the main cell tower in New York was on the World Trade Center, that they have to have a quick and effective way to get "Temp-Towers" up to handle the over flow and extra traffic.
Guess its not something they can test to make sure it works well, lets hope they never have to use it on a regular basis.
they also followed the religion.. giving us a balance, on side is not all ways right it takes to side and comming to the middle of each to create something great, this is what we have lost in the last 15-20 years, people only want their side and nothing more, but we need both sides to bring it all back.

with sp1 its much better of an os not the best but better than it was, than again convincing people that Vista is ok with sp1 is like saying your station-wagan will not blow up if hit from behind after the fix.
I was one of those people that didnt like vista but i have now been running it for a month with sp1 still needs work but what os doesn't.
This works, think about it how fast does your computer need to be to run word and a spreadsheet?
With the power of the older pc 2-4 years you can run tons of apps for servers, saving tons of cash.

in business the last thing you want to do is be on the cutting edge. Stay one step behind is the safest bet ever...If you want a great reason look at all the problems Vista had on launch compaired to now with Vista SP1. Very big difference. Second reason DDR memory or Rambus. should i continue?
dude i might buy a mac if it came in black..might.. then what would i do with it my company runs only pc, guess i could start some video editing...
but back to it those would look sweet in black.
The company will continue like all of them do, just with out their key speaker(aka mascot.)
