Different cars lose different amounts, depending on the make/model/year. The value lost may not be a significant amount relative to the price of the car, but that's not the point. As soon as it's driven by the first owner, it is worth less than they paid for it. With cars, there are no exceptions to this.
If I repaid half of the money, I am still paying for it. I should get at least a partial refund.
No, because you drove/used the car. There are few things that depreciate as quickly as cars, and when someone buys a new one, as soon as it's driven off the lot it loses value. A simple trade would result in a net loss for the debtor.
What really happens in the business is that the repossessed car/house/etc. is resold or auctioned, and if the amount of money it brings is greater than the amount owed (very unlikely), than the difference is given to the person who defaulted on the loan. More often, it brings less than the amount owed and the debtor can choose to settle it there or pursue other collection efforts such as wage garnishment.
All modern Macs are perfectly capable of running Windows, or even running both MacOS and Windows at the same time using Boot Camp, Parallels, etc. Furthermore, Microsoft Office has been available for Macs forever; Microsoft is a major Mac software provider. Unlike his comments about Google, Ballmer has never said "I'm gonna kill mother fucking Apple!" I just don't see why Ballmer signing a Mac has any significance at all.
He's just never been caught saying "I'm gonna kill mother fucking Apple!"
I want to watch it in a house
I want to watch it with a mouse
I want to watch it on a boat
I want to watch it with a goat
I want to watch it in the grass
If MPAA won't let me I'll shove it up their ass! (Ok, that was cheap:P) All these restrictions don't let me admire it
Perhaps I'll get it from a pirate!
Does anyone take anything said by the OLPC program seriously anymore? I think the idea of providing these to needy children was never a goal taken seriously by these people. They wanted a hardware design playground and used the above-mentioned goal as a way to gain the support needed for their playtime. Education was never a goal.
There, I said it. Mod me to hell.
As someone who embraces liberty religiously (by being a Christian) as well as politically (by leaning hard toward Libertarianism) and philosophically (by being both), I don't condemn the necessities thief either, although in my experience people steal alcohol and electronics far more than they do bread. I do believe, however, that it would be far better if caring individuals were to meet the needs of these people, as already happens through rescue missions, etc., rather than the person resorting to theft, which in all likelihood will only further degenerate his situation.
Would resorting to theft really degenerate their situation? Let's see...
1. Stay on the streets and starve.
2. Steal
3a.Get away with it and have food.
3b. Get caught, go to jail with free shelter, medical care, and food. I suppose prison rape would be a small price to pay for someone truly starving.
No. What I did was no more stealing than when you (and lots of other people) download movies, songs, or tv shows. It's not real property - it's just internet data.
Think about it. If I'm right - it's not stealing. If you're right, then it is stealing and so too is downloading/bittorenting and you too are a thief. (ponder) Ooops.
You can't make that comparison.
Internet data may or may not be real property, but paper, ink, and parents' money IS real property. If you didn't have permission to use it, it is stealing.
Well, they are mostly identical.
XP was released in 2001, in the dark age of computing. 2003, released in (you guessed it!) 2003 is two years newer, so it's still patchable.
Duh.
Terminal illness is terminal illness. There is no hope of it going into remission.
It would also be hard to make a case that a cure for leukemia will be found within 6 months or less (the maximum length of time a terminal patient is expected to live, according to Wikipedia).
Let the boy out of school to enjoy his final months, unless he is there because of choice.
Re-read my first paragraph.

Shouldn't all foods come with a choke hazard label?
Successful troll is successful.
...which is why it won't work. Those fools didn't realize that profit doesn't come until step 4!
Or more likely we'd be speaking German.

I remember getting the email from my CS professor about the event. I didn't make it.

But not every Javascript game makes use of multiple interactive browser windows instead of flash.
I'd still take the job.

He must give all the substance of his house.

5.Profit!!!
People who get desperate enough will do this on their own. He's a fool for publicly saying this as it reflects bad on him and his church.
My big dipper is a sextuplet system too...
At least we don't have to ask if it runs Linux.
Who cares? I'm sure if they had asked any major city they would have gotten all the rats they wanted to cook and eat.
Who gives a shit? Seriously.
Totally agreed. The problem is that foreign ports don't like to have evil guns on private ships in their harbors. Lately, though, it seems things are turning around: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/nov/20/an-anti-pirate-policy-that-works/

No, it wouldn't be censored. There would probably be massive boycotts and maybe even demonstrations, but no censorship.

since 1776 and there is a post on Memorial Day about a fucking holiday celebrating the fucking towel?
live-action blow-by-blow
Does this mean the update sucks?
