If you want to get technical... any modern equipment used to mill and dress 2x4s is metric, and the finished size is actually 38mm x 89mm, which is 1.49606" x 3.50394". So yeah... let this be the catalyst to have the USA get with the times and convert everything to metric.
In the case where this becomes popular or common place in an urban centre, wouldn't the process of discharging, and then immediately recharging after peak power times, cause the peak power times to shift due to the demand for recharging - eventually negating any benefit?

Now, everyone else in the book business sells at a discount, or with sales, etc., but not them - and another critical error, is that they won't match prices. So while i'm in their store, enjoying their starbucks coffee and free wifi while parusing their shelves, i'm logged into amazon.com (in the US) and "adding to cart" all the books i like. - before i've left chapters, i've ordered all the books i like from amazon at a huge discount (sometimes 50%) and have already received their order confirmation. It's great! although, not so good for chapters.
Aren't all rings of this nature formed form orbiting debris - debris caused by collisions? The thought that Jupiter will have rings once the conflicting orbits of it's moons finally cause them to collide is not new.. it's expected and assumed that it will happen..
I don't think this is new "science".. seems obvious.

Totally agree with everyone else on the site. Wood working is a fantastic hobby, involving precision planning, math, geometry and all sorts of things you won't account for on your first go. So start small, and build on your experience. In time, you will be able to build a fantastic "heirloom quality" piece you will be proud to say you made.

I've purchased a few lesser known names.. "noma" is one that comes to mind, and they are absolutely terrible. I use them in locations like the utility room, outdoors etc.
All in all though, these are a terrible interim solution until LED lighting comes into it's own. They're aren't really that efficient (although much better than incandescants, yes) and the use of mercury is just going to cause problems, regardless of whatever recyclying programs exist for these.
Areas with higher rain fall have been shown to have greater incidents of Autism. This is starting to make sense.. more rain = less time outside = less fresh air (or more exposure to polluted indoor air).
Nothing to do with the rain per se, just being inside more. Glad I live in an old house with wood floors and poor weather stripping. (lots of fresh outside air comes in).
Anyway.. there is definately something about feeling, but it's only really about what you are used to. I prefer a fujitsu 8725, a modern cheap-ass keyboard to more exensive ones, simply because I am used to it.
I've always just thought, why don't "they" make it a law that any new roofs being installed (homes, buildings, barns - anything with a roof) be done with white reflective shingles... you'd think the amount of surface real estate we have in homes and buildings would make up a good percentage of the reflective white mass we're losing with the polar ice melting.
Are you dealing with the satelitte provider directly? i.e. infosat, telsat, etc?
Directly they won't do much in the way of service level agreements that have financial penalties associated with them. However, if you were to purchase network services from a communications supplier that was working along with your satellite provider, you may find they have more weight in getting you the service levels you are paying for (and contracted).
I suggest you give TELUS a call, and compare prices/service levels for service in your area.
Very rarely would I say I am not proud to be Canadian, but in this instance I have to. Even the Canadian governments handling of Monsanto cases has been apalling. I know of a handful of instances where farmers that have been saving their seeds for generations, now are no longer able to farm without paying royalties and fines to monsanto because some "stray" seed made their way onto their land. The argument being that a piece of Monsanto's "intellectual property" might have made their way into a small fraction of that seed, and farmers have tainted all of their saved seeds - stop farming, or pay Monsanto.
Evil indeed. I wonder if there's a book depository or grassy knoll near the monsanto headquarters..?
You know it used to be that only skilled trades people could be put out of work by robots. Now, thanks to modern technology, even unskilled immigrant labourers can be put on the streets! Yay robots! (Read in the voice of Stephen Colbert).
