Those morons on the NX-01 Manage to orbit shit all the time, and they have trouble firing torpedos correctly...
Im just not holding my breath until this mission is over, I mean, when something is that far away, there are TOO many variables capable of destroying the entire mission to ever guarantee success... Bravo to the NASA boys for all their hard work, even when it ends in expensive failure:)
Not if he hacks it, you dolt. Its the thing a hacker loves most, flexible subsidized hardware. Microsoft LOSES money everytime an Xbox walks out the door, its the software they make money on (and the accessories) So if you hack it to run Open Source software, we can COST them money.:)
Yes, thats very cool, but will I ever be able to download an ISO? Since he used an official development platform, isn't he under some sort of Licensing agreement?
The console itself is only $300, and Im sure with sufficient trying you could figure out how to play homebrew games in it (and when you do, go ahead and forward me the info) though this might be a bit if a challenge:)
Maybe they are trying to promote "Honor Among Thieves" or something. Its amazing the lengths some of them go to, programs that secretly contact the "home office" and report what key they are using, what version they are, and if they think you are pirated, open up an instance of IE on their order page. Fucking devious indeed.
Sufficiently strong crypto might as well be unhackable, as long as they don't leave in some sort of stupid backdoor/loophole that makes it easy to bypass all the key guessing:)
You don't think the Open-Source community, if they really put their minds to it, could come up with something unhackable? A lot of utilities and programs that are useful and oft pirated in the Warez community are getting harder and harder to crack all the time.... And I'm not talking about Nero or Winrar, but rather the home-grown stuff that some guy is trying to pay his mortgage with, some of them never get cracked correctly...
If this were a movie, and not real life, Bill Gates would be some sort of Mad Scientist with a plot to take over the world. I'd say hes well on his way.
"Damn straight, today a Mad Scientist can't get a doomsday device, tomorrow its the Mad Grad-Student, where will it end?"
But this isn't what I dream about doing on the bridge of the Enterprise D. Instead of saying "Computer, Tea, Early Grey, Hot" I'd say something like "Oooh, Ahhhh, Grrrr"
Then my friends got ripped off by this dude. Lots of positive feedback from $1 BullShit auctions, and he sold them an indash MP3 player. It was supposed to be for this guys birthday from his girlfriend. It never showed. They've been nothing but shafted from E-bay. or E-gay as he now refers to it. He used to be one of those E-bay people too, that made quite a bit of money on the site selling stuff and what not, Honestly. But now hes turned off pretty much for good.

and it WILL make playing PSO easier. I have a DC, PSO, and the keyboard. And while yes the keyboard makes chat 100x easier, switching back and forth from controller to kb is a BITCH. This should be good for any multi-player game where a controller is needed to play well, but chat is important. Too bad I don't plan on getting a GameCube.
I thought it read Scarface keylogger. I was confused to say the least. Is this STILL a big deal? You would think in the wake of the Terrorist Activities they would be giving the bureau a lot more leeway in surveillance...
None of the people who check it are actually Jedi, whether they say they are or not:(. I don't remember the last time I saw anyone build a real working lightsaber....
Am I far off? I mean, you would think they would be generally more clueful individuals overall, but for some reason I doubt it. They are most likely disconnected from the "real" world and wouldn't even know how to get their oil changed. Notice I didn't say "change their oil" but "get it changed"
Small sample size, but so far My experience with them has been 100% bliss..... I wonder if there is a pattern to the failed drives, you have failed several, I know people who have several (raided usually) and they work fine... Different Powersupplys maybe?
This very large series of algorithmic compositions originate from the early 1970's (our diatonic period) and were inspired by the pitch class set pieces of Webern and the stochastic works of Xenakis.
The Magnus-Opus series is based upon pairings of eight notes used to create sixteen different diads or two note chords. These tone pairs are used to create melody 'modules' of a standard twelve note length. Additional compositions may be obtained by joining melodies together, or by adding melody fragments to standard twelve note melodies.
Our method was to assign each of the sixteen tone pairs to an alpha-numeric pattern so that each letter or digit corresponded to a pitch pair. This sequence when expressed through the operation of a simple algorithmic generator produces some 10,000,000,000 melodies (together with a more or less infinite number of additional compositions produced by the addition of melody modules or fragments thereof).
It is not without reason, therefore, that we claim to be the world's most prolific composers, hence Magnus-Opus.
It has, more recently, come to our attention that many (certainly not all) of these compositions correspond to the tonal sequences transmitted in contemporary telecommunication, making us without doubt, the world's most popular composers.
Warning: All of the melodies contained within the Magnus-Opus series are protected by copyright. You may inadvertently be in breach of international copyright law by using a telecommunications device (telephone, mobile telephone, modem and other internet devices) to transmit and perform one of the Magnus-Opus melody series.

: The technology that we sell is a padlock to music. If you have a lock cutter, a bolt cutter, you can cut that padlock off. If you're determined to steal the music, the music can be stolen. Our technology is not thief proof. What it's meant to do is provide a speed bump to people who don't steal things, and wish to use them in the parameters that are suggested by the artists...If you give people what they want with respect to their ability to copy the music in ways that they think is reasonable, they will not ever attempt to circumvent the technology. Only hackers will attempt to circumvent the technology in order to prove that it can be done. We're not designing the technology for them.
Hes fucking kidding, right? The manner suggested by the artist? So when we listen to a Prince CD we have to wear womens clothing?

Its not liquid, fuck-nut. I've broken many CDRs and the shit doesn't run out.
I would think that it does, especially if its a CDR which its likely to be.
Just grab the edges and bend til it breaks, I do it with failed CDRs all the time. Good stress reliever.

These guys are brilliant. But what about the timing, or spacing between the "notes"? If I dial in a different rhythm is it the same?
