Most movies that don't rely almost entirely on effects or name-buzz to be profitable cost far, far less than that.
I am very much of the opinion that the reason why some people have given up on going to the theater is because it's just not worth it anymore -- a lot of movies are dreadful crap passed off by critics as "decent". Maybe if they thought "Hm, we really ought to start taking chances on stuff again," people would start going to the movies again. The only movie that looked good to me recently was The King's Speech.
I really wish we could resurrect someone like Kubrick to direct again.
Friend of mine (a psychology major) explained this to me once. Basically, an anti-depressant can, in certain cases, raise you up from the "can't do jack shit" point, but you're not above the "willing to end it" point. Basically, you go from being able to do nothing to being able to kill yourself.

There's a reason why GNOME docs are moving away from DocBook...
At my university (last time I was on campus, which was admittedly nearly a year ago), Linux users can just hop on the network with just their login. No Cisco Clean Access bullshit necessary.
having tried jolicloud beta, I wholeheartedly look forward to the finished product. The UNR-based GUI was nice, but if i wanted UNR, I'd freakin' run UNR on it.
I wish I'd had a video camera on me when the cops threatened to taser me. For crying. Wasn't even threatening them in any possible way, I was just bawling my eyes out and they threatened to electrocute me. Yeah, officer, that'll really make me stop crying.
I've noticed it to be running a little faster than 9.10 did, on my Lenovo IdeaPad S10... so... looks good:) And this is with all the bells and whistles turned on.
Honestly, I wish people like my aunt would learn to think for themselves. "This says 'it is recommended that you restart firefox'! What do I do now?!" "Restart firefox." "Oh! Ok, thanks!"
Or, if they wanna be stupid, pay me. I have schooling to pay for.
I remember reading somewhere that ADD/ADHD diagnoses are more than casually linked with diagnosis of more severe disorders, such as bipolar, later in life. Can't remember where, though.
Is this one usable, unlike the other ones for linux?
That's one thing I never liked about linux, the tools are all either extremely dumbed down and featureless or incredibly hard to start using. I like power, but I like being able to jump right in.
Additionally, is this 1.0 as good as the competition's 1.0?
I prefer gift cards to certain places, because then no one can bitch about how I spent them. Get a gift card for, say, an electronics store? "Well, I HAD to use it, all they sell is electronics, so I bought a new $toy!"
I was reading this entire comment thread just to see if anyone else had remembered this episode.
I, II, and... II? O.o Did Mr. Lucas forget how to count or something?

By any chance, does the K. stand for "Kilgore"?
Read this comment as I booted Disgaea 3 for the first time ^_^

because stress NEVER causes any of those symptoms...
... like a really bad way to fix this problem.
Seriously, with the exception of number nerds, who's going to take a look at the numbers?

I'm in pretty much the same boat; I used to seem very well adjusted...
Then things fell apart, I found out I have no real supports in my life, and I fell. Hard
Anyone who wants to tell me I'm inferior because I've attempted suicide can fuck right off.
I'd like to read this. /. needs more articles that are actually interesting to read. Maybe more about the past predictions, even? :)
Crazy and mentally ill are different things.
I, for example, have bipolar, but I'm not insane or anything...

That *is* what you get for being an early adopter...
They haven't even worked out how to work out problems yet, it seems like.
Can you please explain to me how you do that? I've been considering it, but I am too lazy to google, and, since you're here...
We can always go to other planets.
I dunno what else we can do with this stuff, but DAMN it's cool to know :)
Maybe this will help us better understand earth?
Huh, I always thought the LHC would cause a resonance cascade.
