I think Groucho Marx said it best when referring to exclusive, anti-semitic "clubs" in the US:

It was a reference to the exclusivity of the club being in direct correlation to the perceived value of being a member. The less exclusive it is, the less "elite" the members feel, and the less effort a person will go to in order to become a member.

I do a little work with environmental data, and in my travels I found this site. It has a huge amount of GIS data collected from various sources for the purposes of mapping various parameters, such as political boundaries, vertical relief, drainage networks, rail/road/piping networks, etc. The only downside is that the data is aging, and the free stuff only goes down to 1:1000000, but its a neat repository if you need a rough map drawn.

    Have fun.

Miramax own a partial stake in the success of the film at the box office. If a decision were to be made for the film to be released onto the interweb as gratas, it would have to include the approval of the Weinsteins.

Of course, Moore could always just do it himself without approval - meaning he'd be liable for every cent Miramax put up to pay for the filming of it.

The number of cells broken down would depend entirely on the dosage. If the FDA (Note: I'm not an American) were indeed to approve it, doctors would need to limit a person's intake so as to ensure the liver and associated organs can handle the increased load. Having the treatment span out over the course of 3-6 months might not be as much a problem than taking one hit in a month.

What I'd be more inclined to look at is the political stance on a drug such as this - if (i.e. when) obesity turns into a major political issue, wouldn't the FDA be under pressure to fast-track the approval process?

Its just so much easier unplugging everything and closing the screen than it is waiting for the machine to boot down, and of course the same goes for booting up.

Sure this might reduce fat cells and overall body weight, but does it do anything to control cholesterol levels, blood pressure, etc?

Giving this to patients by itself wouldn't do much to discourage healthy eating. You'd have to combine it with treatment for cholesterol (and other obesity symptoms). Of course, then people could get a dependancy on it, meaning healthy eating and exercise become pointless to them.

My parents own a consulting company that my father runs, doing various IT and environmental work. My brother and I work as employees for the company, on our own seperate contracts. It is not a rare occurance that we work on the same contracts.

The key is communication and role seperation. Make sure if somebody's got a problem, its out in the open and fixed as quick as possible. Role seperation in this case is threefold - Boss, workmate, and father. When we're working together, its workmate. When we're being paid (or sorting out the books), boss. When we're outside the workplace, dad.

As far as work ethics are concerned, the individual side isn't really a problem. When you're working as a team however, it might pay to discover whether you really work well together before you jump into it.

    Hope this helps.
