    Why not let the Food and Drug Administration an the Code of federal Regulations Title 21 tell you, exactly, what the legal definition of Mayonnaise is?

    Per your own statistic on the first in the first 3 months of the year Tesla sold 5000 cars. That's 1666 a month. They sold 2500 in September. They already have over 50,000 in the market place worldwide.

    BMW is selling 1000/month of their electric(y) car.

    Based on the numbers how long will it take for BMW to catch Tesla?

    "One touch up" is common on just about every new car. There is a sensor that detects stoppage and sends the window back down. Simple.

    Totally open platform, well documented, simple wiring and so common that replacement parts are easy to find. Also acceptable, Malibu, Monte Carlo, etc. Get the 350/3speed auto version. I recommend Olds because most them have power windows, 4 speaker radios and other 'luxury' items.

    In 1978 the emissions regs kicked in and things started to get weird.

    Hacking a modern car is not for the hobbyist, the nanny state and sensor system are complex proprietary, closed systems.

    have you searched online? There is sometimes a way to "program" it. On a modern GM (2010+ ) hold the Information and Reset buttons at the same time. A menu will pop up on the multi display and you can set various things. There are often hidden codes (Chrysler used to use the headlight switch as a selector, with the horn as feedback - so you are sitting in your driveway , honking horns and flashing lights :) as well...

    Your argument is nonsense and can be extended to: he didn't even mention the servers, be sure to add a few megs of RAM for each feature to developed, and some HDD space too. Oh, and increase the chip speed for each new feature as well! Then later but new servers to replace the cobbled together disasters you built on the fly.

    We use Agile for the *development* process which is distinct from the *design* process. That is, we do architecture up front, including DB design, and - surprise - we even build the server platforms too!

    Business gets an opportunity once a month to change development priority order. Once. A. month. New features introduce are written up, added to the feature list and the business gets to include them in next months re-prioritization.

    It's simple , everyone gets it, and the business (ie the people paying the bills) love it. And that's bad, how?

    Because x86 doesn't have the system management chip that Unix boxes (full disclosure, old AIX admin, last used 5.1L) have. x86 has the crappy bios and UEFI neither of which can manage the system. This also what allows hot cpu, hot ram upgrades etc. The AIX system chip is an OS unto itself, it will boot with no RAM or CPU on board.

    Doubt it. Even if they somehow got reseller status on Amazon, they would promptly get feedback'd down to oblivion. They would't last long on ebay either. Only on Alibaba would someone actually think those cards were real....

    I have seen 640G Sony cards, 512G SD, etc years before that size was actually available....

    You don' t have a Tag Heuer. You have a $50 battery powered quartz watch with a very expensive Tag Heuer sticker on it. A real, Automatic Movement Tag has about a 48 hour reserve, after that it needs to be worn, wound or placed in a winder.

    Not the two markets overlap much, but there are a lot of watches out there that won't run for more than 48hours....

    And back on topic, this thing looks really good. I don't care about the health stuff that much, but the smart watch features look great.

    Oh, so we're free to buy goods and housing at third world prices? All the CEO's that make more than $500k a year have been fired and replaced with MBA's from India? No and no you say? Then it sounds like the "global economy" is still really a "capitalist crock of shit".

    Other than locally grown food, the price of durable goods is pretty consistent around the world. I've been there, I know. So your strawman "third world pricing" falls apart pretty fast. Do you have any example of this pricing disparity? If you find any, yes, you are free to purchase and import at will.

    And yes there are tons of MBA's from India over here. My MBA class (class of '07) was roughly 1/3 China, 1/3 India and 1/3 north america/europe. That mix is typical for most top end MBA programs. Some go back to India/China, some stay here.

    Perhaps your problem is you don't really understand what "global" means, or appreciate the benefits you get from it.

    He makes about 1/3 less than I do. In a free market economy someone really good should command what I can command.

    No, in a free market economy you would both be making *his* wages. What you are advocating for is a protected economy - you want the government to put rules in place (or to maintain/enforce existing ones) to ensure artificially high wages for your particular skill set. You believe the status quo must be kept as is, even in a shifting global economy.
