NASA will help by: Providing the possiblity of more places to live. Increasing medical research to keep people alive in space. All advances will go to the medical industry. Research into insulation matierials. Of witch some currently would be able to insulat a house to the point that you would not need to provide a heat source other than the human body.
The problems you mention are all very specificly being worked on by NASA. In fact it is sometimes difficult to come up with something that doesn't get worked on by NASA.
The only problem with well funded public school systems is you end up rewarding failure. How do you distribute funds? Do you look at what schools are doing well and divert funds from them to the ones that are doing poorly? Where is the incentive to do well? Where is the incentive to not do poorly?
The only way to combat this is to have student vouchers and allow students to attend what ever school they want, while allowing for private schools to accept these vouchers. Then slowly drop all funding coming from the government going directly to public schools and allow them only to get funding from student vouchers.
yes exactly, and sometimes I would like a "I'm shopping flag" because it seems several times I will be looking for a place to buy a rare or antique item because I will be getting all kinds of sites about the item but nobody selling it.
"...develop a better conceptual understanding of text..."
Nothing about Grammar and Content. Much like reading slashdot where you have to read between the typos they want to make sure Google can do the same thing.
google needs a "I'm not shopping flag" you can put into the search string like !shopping or something. Maybe I will suggest that on that link up a few posts.
Couldn't we follow this up the chain and blame microsoft, or any other software provider named in a suit, for putting out software that is suseptiable to this sort of activity. Sure we could just blame everybody. The ISP for not blocking it, the phone company for providing lines, everyone on the internet for being targets of spam and consumers of spammers wares. The persons parents for not raising him right. If we blame enough people maybe the one person really responsable wont have to worry about anything.
I have to agree with you. I don't really consider it unfortunate though. In fact I see it as good because it gives Linux something to shoot for, and hopfully beat.
ohh, yes....ha ha.... a server made from AOL discs I get it....it wouldn't be very good....and wouldn't be able to handle a load. Ohh man that's original. haha..
Not sure but doesn't Copyright already exist? Why do we need all kinds of extra EULA and such that really have nothing to do with copyright and only about industrial controll and scare tactics?
I don't know they give an example of a single G256 compared to dual G256 in SLI mode and it is almost 10x faster. With the addition of one card I get 10x faster that sounds great to me.
Doesn't this imply almost the oposite of what you say. Isn't it more like pay $400 for a video card and 6 months later a new twice as fast $400 card comes out, well the one I bought 6 months ago is only $40 now, sli twice as fast as my old card and only $40. By the time I needed quad cards they'd be in the bargin bin $10 with $10 rebate.
Well said.

You replied to it saying it gave you flash backs to the election or something. I didn't want to put anyone through that.

lets push the blame a little further
Bill Gates -> DOJ -> Pres. Bush -> Florida (in 2005 Ohio)
I blame Florida for all the worlds problems.

He was right it was kinda dated, but you can kick his ass anyway.
Congress shall make no law providing protection under copyright to any artistic work that is bad. Such works will be released to public domain.

Embrace and extend, I just get on line for 10-12 hours a day as well and rearly venture out side. Just refresh Slashdot all day and you'll be fine.

I created a top notch 3d rendering engine and all I got was this TSIRT.
