Home schooling is not easy. My school district made it difficult to do and the cost of books at retail price was very high. $150.00 and more per book, if you must buy 3 or 5 books many could not afford the cost. If parents work full time there are few who can have the free time to help their kids.
There are two authentic Italian restaurants near my house, one I can walk to and the other delivers. Affordable and serving lasagna and spaghetti with great sauce and real Parmesian and Romano cheese.

Both of my siblings are left handed and one of my sons. I use my right now but when I was around 12 years old I trained myself to write left handed. When I played baseball or softball I was a switch hitter then came to favor batting lefty. I still do some things left handed.
My sister lives in a remote rural area in northern California. She enjoyed dark skies 'till people bought nearby property and put up sodium lights that lit up most of her property and shined in the windows of her house.

My trash and recycling cans are near my mailbox, I subscribe to several magazines and one newspaper. The junk mail goes directly into the trash. The USPS has a special rate for junk mail, bulk rate that costs much less than what you or I pay to mail a letter or bill. So I pay twice-once for the junk subsidy and again for a 49 cent stamp. Screw that.

Quakes are common, happen all the time. I live in south California and the last quake I felt was many years ago. There are quakes that cause a lot of damage but many are in areas with low population or where the damage isn't reported.

There is life above and below ground. I saw a desert tortoise crawling over rocks then disappear into a burro in the ground. I wondered how long it took to excavate the hole in the ground. I found an empty shell I considered taking but hung it from tree branch instead. Some plants are pollinated by birds, others by moths. There was a rattlesnake laying in the little shade provided by an ocotillo plant. I stepped away and continued my hike.
Bill must think of the desert as an empty sandbox for him to play in, but there is a vibrant community already there in the plants and animals that have evolved to survive in the climate and terrain . A too busy restaurant can mean you will be served under cooked food
or the wrong items. The staff may be stressed trying to meet the demand and wages are low in my area and many depend on tips for income. Servers do not share tips with the kitchen staff.
I do not use any "social media" and assume everything I do on the web is monitored and saved forever. Me and my son used to email using words like bomb or fight, etc. Shirley we are in all the three letter DB's.
