I'm not an astronomy buff, so this might be a stupid question. But why are there so many craters on Mars? Doesn't the atmosphere protect the planet like here on Earth? It appears that there are almost as many craters as on the Moon. I guess the atmosphere is very thin on Mars.
I learned how useful following the left wall can be playing repton. Does that make me old?
You sound about as old as me (I'm 35, btw). That game you mentioned looks a lot like Boulder Dash, a great game on the C64. My previous comment was a bit of a joke, I've been playing maze games since the late 70's (does PacMan count? haha). Maybe I'm too old, but games seemed a lot more fun back in those days.
I learned my sense of direction in Doom. To this day I always turn left when I'm in an umfamiliar building, and I always sraife to avoid any nasty surprises.
Broderbund.. wow, that brings back memories. Not the BBS, but one of my all time favorite games on the C64: Lode Runner. I think Drole was by them, also (if I remember the name of that game, that was a long time ago).
Reminds me of programming classes (back in the 80's), where you have to hand-write code on paper. Back in those days I relied on the compiler a lot of catch many stupid mistakes, so I didn't think it was a realistic test to have to hand-write code and be docked points for syntax errors.
The big problem with that is people mod up comments that *sound* insightful or interesting, with little regard to accuracy. Just look at some of the +5 comments around here that are plain wrong. A system like that might help with vandals and trolls, but might not help much with accuracy of the articles.

I totally agree!!!
It's "exclusive" in the sense that all your friends are over on MySpace.

Mmmmmmmm... Stinkburger.
Anonymous Professor, not to be confused with Annonymous Coward.

You must have seen that show Wife Swap on TV last night! One whole family were living the pirate lifestyle (minus the raping and pilaging)
50 year mortgage?
There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures ... and the Dutch.
Yeah, let's replace it with DirectX running under Wine.
I would prefer the number was reported in blocks, not byes, but I'm uber-1337. Hex would be even better. :-)
Your opinion is wrong. Grilled cheese is way better than turkey. Ah yes, Grilled Cheese, the American quesadilla.
You've come to the right place for that!!
Or more to the point, how did this conference get out-sourced??

So you're saying large USB dongles promote piracy?
and their CD's and tapes too!
Be careful, I got slapped in the face for doing that just last week.
But where does it go at night?
One scratched my coffee table once. Now I use cork toasters instead of CD based ones.
