And in other news, I've patented the idea of advertising on the inside of your eyelids. Now the trick is to get the government to force people to have my procedure done to everyone...
I thought the whole concept of google was that it ranked pages higher if lots of other pages linked to it. So presumably if lots of snowboard related sites link to your site, your site should be prominint in googles ranking system. Or have the spammer gotten around this too? Maybe all these spam sites link to each other and fool google that way!
Nah, I was just trying to point out that the religous zealot site looks a lot like The Onion... I don't think it's supposed to be a serious site, I think it's trying to poke fun at religous nuts.
Is there an easy way I can monitor and record my monthly usage? I have a Debian Linux machine acting as a NAT firewall on my cable modem... What tool is best to do this? I would need to measure all traffic through the cable modem, since I do some private web/ftp hosting on this box as well as using it as an Internet gateway for my home LAN.
I wouldn't exactly call it a fine machine.. I have an F30 which I loaded Debian on, and it's a bit sluggish, but usable as a squid proxy and some other tasks. I doubt that the F50 is *that* much better. Anyway, when I got this machine I didn't have the root password for AIX, nor the install disks, so I slapped Linux on it. Plus I'm much more familiar with Linux, so it works for me.

Great, there goes my uptime record..
I heard they're also releasing an instructional video teaching html, you should check it out. ;-) Or maybe just use the preview button, your call! :-)
I barely trust the logged-in people on Slashdot.. Let alone AC's! .. Not to mention the editors, now that's a different story.
That's why god created secretaries .. uhh, Admin Assistants, I mean.
This is a good hint to the creator of the article .. Let's hope your prof doesn't read Slashdot!
You could just arrange the keys on your keyboard in DVORAK format .. The keys pop off quite easily on most keybaords.
LOL! It's soooo true! I noticed this phenominon while visiting every users PC during an after-hour upgrade a few years ago. Not a pleasant experience!
And don't forget "Slashdot's going downhill" .. We've been hearing that for at least 4 years.

Try Microsoft Hearts ... it comes with Windows plus it is the only game I've seen a female play for more than 5 minutes.
(George W., I mean, get your head out of the gutter!)
You're obviously not married...
Just hire the guy who printed his resume with a dot-matrix printer... It shows he's a geek with a sense of humor!
Not true with executables .. right click on a .exe file, the only options are Open, Run As..., Pin to Start Menu, etc.

Yeah, and I bet you probably get your news from The Onion also.

"Sorry honey, I don't know how to install paint." :-)
I only have one thing to say...
Wow, this is the nerdiest thing I've ever seen on Slashdot, and that's saying a lot!!
Your talkin about the wrong Game of Life, check out this one: Game of Life.
On the contrary! Remember that savory == salty.

You use Madrake for mission critical servers? Why did you chose Mandrake over Debian or Redhat, or any other distro for that matter? Just curious..
