DHCP is a definate requirement.. Also make sure you have at least one good network switch (a Cisco 48 port one would do nicely). And lots of *long* Ethernet cables. If you're running it in 1 hub, think of how long the cables will have to be.
Also, depending on the games you will play, will you require internet access to connect to a remote game server? That will be a whole other bag of worms.
The theory was that hardware error checking was first being built into modems at that time, so any file transfer protocol with error checking would be redundant.
Yes, I totally agree (except for the "artist" you mentioned.. haha)... But if you *did* want the entire Aenema album, downloading the ISO would be so much easier than searching for the song list, then the MP3's, wouldn't it?
Why don't we use ISO images of music CD's? I've never tried it, but it seems like you should be able to make an ISO image of a music CD, compress it with gzip or whatever, and upload that. This way you could download the entire CD without loosing any data (MP3 uses lossy compression), and simply burn the whole thing. Anyone tried this? Is there any P2P network encourging this? Every time I try to re-create a whole album, song for song, it is a huge pain in the ass, you always end up with MP3's of various sound quilities (and volume levels), imcomplete files, etc. There's been times where I've actually had to go outside and purchase the real CD!!;-)
And after bad reviews and lack of customer "buy in", Microsoft renamed their new language to FU, and added that all future versions of Windows will be written in FU. However, it is rumored that this is not the first FU from Microsoft to it's customers.
And sales people...One of our sales guys was telling me about a "warez" site he found, except he pronounced it war-ezz. I didn't bother to explain to him that warez meant wares.
I see your point, Ultima 3 was my first RPG.. I didn't play Ultima 2 until a few years after that. Ultima 4 was great, but frustrating to maintain all the virtues at times, however, a great game. Much better graphics than U3 and U2.
Yeah, 15 times sounds like a lot, but after about the 3rd time it gets pretty easy.. I figured out a bunch of tricks, like stealing horses, getting almost unlimited gold from one dungeon (teleport to the bottom level which was covered in gold, then use the "escape dungeon" spell)... ahhh, the memories!!!:-)
LANapalooza?
LANstock?

Yes, plus now they can charge for another product...
1) Sell OS with high virus risk
2) Aquire Anti-virus Software
3) Profit!!!
Next, on Fox, Patent Millionaire! One guy, 12 women, and 550 frivolous patents!
And does the Patent Office make any money when they deny a patent? It's a public office, but still, every department needs revenue.
What's your source for this? I thought baby boomers made up the bulk of the population and child birth was down.
I don't think I'd be braging about that if it happened to me!
Yep, 300 baud, baby!!

So I should stop calling it GNU/OS X? ;-)
Spoken like a true nerd!
Is this what it feels like to be a subscriber? You get to see the new stories in techni-colour?
Yeah, I guess we now know how Al Gore feels about Asia...
Hey, you stole my sig...
Yeah, but winters over and we're into spring now... And I hear that they have the opposite problem in Australia!

Yes, but don't let your own usage patterns cloud your judgement! ;-)

Yeah, that was popular in the DOS days. Now we have ALT-TAB and ALT-F4 (in Windows and KDE at least!).
Yeah, someone said L.O.L. to me, so I said colon-dash-right-parenthesis. Most normal people don't talk like that, though (thank God).
Yeah, that's it, blame the user. Well, I guess that's better than last weeks excuse for dupes: It's a feature, not a bug!
As far as I remember, I first started seeing Leet-speak evolve on the BBS scene in the 80's, but I've never heard anyone talk like that in real life.
