I'd be happy if Buzz just updated FB status then like the many other services that update all your social sites with one post. Integration would be great though as I'd never have to go to FB.com again.
How would the text messaging option save you money? You'd have to have the app open all the time as well as purchase a "push" app so you'd know when you received new stuff (wouldn't you)?
I've been looking to see how I could use GV SMS's instead of the many other SMS replacement apps (like Text+), but I haven't found it. GV still forwards SMS's to your built in text messaging client and if you don't forward, you don't get push and have to constantly check the app.
I just use the search engines area on the right. I have it setup to open a new tab on enter so I go straight to the results of whatever engine (site) I chose.
Oh but I use a password to open my word document that contains all my passwords. That's pretty secure./s
It seems that a lot of industry security is a waste for most users, esp those that require password resets every X number of days or months. There is nothing on my pc that anyone, competitors included, would care about. Even if they had access to the numerous systems I use internally.
I remember a Dilbert cartoon about this once (fitting as he came from the same company) where he asked that if he tried, could he ever find anyone that cared about the "proprietary" marking on documents.
Until you have evidence otherwise, it's only wishful thinking.
My red flag went up though when the quote mentioned he was very close to proving of ET. Shouldn't they be more scientific and just report on if there actually is anything there? The way it is worded made it sound like he would prove it one way or another. With the implications that would have, he is only inviting [more] controversy.
I use it all the time. They would need to remap that PrtSc if they got rid of SysRq button. Shift-PrtSc did nothing on my Thinkpad.
Windows PC:
PrtSc - copies entire desktop image to clipboard Alt + PrtSc - copies only the selected window to clipboard
Is there a way to screen capture the active window and a dropped menu item (File, Edit, View, etc) w/o capturing the entire desktop? Alt activation closes menu item.
Also, I already get live TV on my iPhone, any channel I get on my PC at home. OrbLive app allows me to stream it from my home PC over wifi (and earlier versions over 3G/Edge). Course you can stream other things as well but Live TV works rather well, cable or broadcast.
As much as I love them and the science they are providing, part of me wishes they would die. This would help us focus on building the next generation rovers / science platforms that have more capability and can traverse farther (or can be made cheaply so many could be sent instead of having them travel so far) and possibly multi use on different planets. Would they work on the moon? Europa?, etc.
If they cut the main functionality of OrbLive's live tv streaming, which had been working great for many months but removed yesterday because of Apple, you can be sure they won't allow two way video calling. They haven't even allowed skype over 3G even though ATT says their ready. What about tethering, etc.
I have it on good authority (AT&T ads) that AT&T has the fastest wireless 3G network, and they sold me unlimited data service, so I fail to see the problem. Having anticipated the tremendously huge uptake of the iPhone and other smart phones, they have upgraded their network to maintain their fastest 3G wireless network claims. Right? Haven't they?
Their network usage is up 4000% with the iPhone 3G intro. Seems they are upgrading their network and are still the fastest 3G network.
What a great way to show the public you're not easily swayed by [withheld] campaign contributions and will do what you say...
And hold the camera still or get a tripod. I couldn't watch past 20 seconds. Too annoying.

Awaiting for Buzz to support FB so I don't have to leave my email page to update my status on both. /not that mom my one reader cares
They should know Ctrl-Shft-Esc instead. Takes you straight to the Windows Task Manager.
So you're comparing a single use game with a multi-use platform capable of doing numerous other things with a changing interface to fit those things.
Hmm, did you also make that decision when deciding on whether or not to buy a paperback or an iPhone?
To quote Homer Simpson, "Max Power".
"I don't want to take off my gloves..."
Use your nose.

What am I missing?
I have an iPod and iPhone. Show me anywhere that I am "forced to buy content" just to use it. In fact, many of the most useful apps are free ones.
At least with the Slashdot crowd it would be simple to implement the "shake to shuffle" setting.
Don't use Chrome?

Why not just play the original DVD?
If you are ripping to h.264 you don't need to be using a DVD player. Otherwise, use another program to make a copy of your DVD.

Or if you have part numbers or similar where alpha and numeric are mixed.

Yeah, I'd rather see a series on Arthur C. Clark's RAMA series. Ton's of material from the books and lots of possible storylines.
There are numerous internet radio apps that can "tune" local stations as many modern stations broadcast over the net as well, at least in my market.

You don't have teenager kids or even remember being one, do you?
