    Such a shame that we rely on lots of these other, more fragile, less-adaptable species for sustenance...

  8. ...they could just stop collecting so much data in Whatsapp. I wonder how many of its users are actually under-16? My kids and lots of their school friends use it for school work as well as personal contact. Most of them don't have Facebook accounts. Seems like a bad decision to kick your future user-base out of your ecosystem.

    Hey Google, use some of that vast money stockpile to undo the damage that companies have been doing to Copyright laws. Get some reductions in copyright duration to something more reasonable (15 years!) and then you'll be able to release the vast majority of your scanned books.

    It's not just an issue of a well person buying a gun and then developing mental health problems. The US gun lobby doesn't even want to restrict sales to those who already have mental health issues.

    My GPS has the local speed limits in it. Would not be hard to add stop sign placements as well to provide a secondary check against such problems.

    Strangely Saudi Arabia aren't included in the travel ban, despite the fact that 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were Saudis. Instead, the US decided to defend their Western ideals by selling them $110 billion of weapons despite their woeful record on human rights.

    "There are certain things which we, in the west, value, things that we hold dear."

    Seems like money is the top of that list...
