I"d be interested in knowing how they will insure against cyberbullying? Are they going to have goons hunt little Tommy down and tech him a lesson he'll never forget?
Exactly. Buy a house in a neighborhood zoned residential and you know your investment is good. Without assurances there can be no private housing market. It all falls apart.
Forbes says the Model 3 will end up selling for more like $60K. They were speculating it was the reason why the low end Model S was removed, so it wouldn't complete with the Model 3.
How much can Tesla grow? I read a recent article in Forbes that Tesla is going to produce 2,000 Tesla 3's at $60K a piece the first year, not 20,000 at $30K as targeted by Musk
This is public land, owned by the city, I cannot buy it. My taxes pay for the maintenance of it. But the city can say what they want to do with it without offering it for sale to me, so back to the original question.
Because that is just a game to play to make it look like they are giving you the choice, but realistically there is no choice and buying channels individually is just stupid.
Have they actually done anything tangible so far? So far there was one small court case. The Obama administration put a band-aid on that gaping wound whenever required and so far it seems to be status quo.
We used one of those sites once for a major, top end hotel in Chicago. It came with free valet of our vehicle, so we planned around having a free valet. They refused it to us when we got there. When we figured out what we were doing, we stood in line again and there was another person from three spots back with the same complaint.
Honest news sites are sadly a rarity these days. I think this is one of the things I like about Slashdot. It just becomes more more evident when they try to be silly like on Aptil Fools day, because it undermines what I like about it.
People are tired of 'the institution' and they saw a saw a way out in Trump. I see the same attitude in the support of Uber despite the fact that people are gutting the taxi industry, which is really a market that supports many hard workers and is supposed to be what America is about. I can understand the frustration, because 'the institution' is way out of touch. But people have to find a way to fight it that is actually productive. They are letting in leaders and corporations that appeal to their want for things to change but won't help them in the end.
But we're doing that anyway! If you want to escape that, move to Africa. We pay the shitbag to play video games because it is better than being out committing crimes. Like it or not, there is a bottom to society that you just have to keep entertained or they will ruin it for everyone else.
I'll happily pay the tax as long as people who are wealthier than I am pay proportionately more and I get to have my society remain peaceful for my children.
This is a much more complicated issue than you are letting on. First of all, I'm not entirely sure if there is any place in the US that it truly benefits a person to move to. I have computer skills and I know I could make a bigger salary in Silicon Valley but from the sounds of it, you sell your soul with regards to housing costs and commute time. So am I willing to make that move? No, because despite the bigger salary I would be losing quality of life. Everything I have heard about living in Silicon Valley is bad, as is most other places where salary is higher.
The simplistic way to look at it is that moving to a place with higher salaries will make your life generally better but if I move I want a better life, not just more money. It is the better life that seems to be alluding the middle class.

So you will pay 80% the cost of the package and only get one channel out of it?
So if my city comes and wants to change the park next to me to a smelter plant, that is in their best interest so I shouldn't have a problem with it?
I hope you're being sarcastic, Texas is one of the most gun violent states there is.

Salaries will go up if you believe there to be a free market.

You know 'golf' and 'accomplishment' are not synonyms, right?
On the other hand, if Trump thinks we might be attacked by aliens......

The whole April fools thing sucks. Can't really get behind anything today because it might not be true.

Seeds don't work! Let's stop planting things immediately!
The good news is that those people already voted for Trump, so not much else can go wrong at this point.
If it's an april fools joke then it's a pretty dumb one. They made their whole site unavailable for the sake of a joke??
I wasn't aware that the media industry had left any ways to 'legally rip' videos.
If I can live 1/2 hour away from work I'm good. I have heard good things about Austin but I'm not sure if I could live there.
