Just because it is a fantasy doesn't mean that we can't measure our own society against that fantasy and gauge whether we are getting better as a species by monitoring our proximity to it.
I would be happy creating the best things I can for the sake of creating them. Why else would anyone else want to create things? The people who are needed to clean the toilets can get extra goodies, maybe I will clean toilets part time as part of my duty to society, but if I could create things for the sake of creating without worrying about a paycheck then I could do my best work.
How the fuck does someone budget for cancer treatment? Some people get it twice, three times, some people need treatment for the rest of their lives. That is just one common ailment. Do you have $5 million budgeted in?
But what happens when the management are the lazy ones, and they take the quick and easy way out which is to work people and get quick numbers? Instead these managers should be finding a way to add value to the company, meaning better employment. Isn't that what executives are supposed to be doing? Providing vision and, you know, LEADING?
I think everyone who isn't a sociopath is going "duh" right now. Explaining this to someone who is a sociopath is like challenging religion. They are already dead to the logic we use to arrive at this conclusion.
Employees to companies are like water to a person. By offering progressively worse working conditions over the last 20 years they have now pissed in their water supply and are complaining there is no water to drink. Congratulations companies, you participated in the race to the bottom and it bit you in the ass. Wonderful progressive business planning.

As a kid I hated kids like that and stayed away from them. After I saw karate kid I did the same thing I always did. I didn't find wrestling interesting.
I'm not clear on whether this solution will utilize taking advantage of drivers that don't realize how much their vehicle costs will take out of their cut from Uber, or if they will be paid a salary as anyone performing a public service should be.
So when the gig economy fires up and we all start working for 100 companies over our careers, we have to get 33-34 chips in our arms if 1/3 of them decide they are 'secure' enough to use this? Who pays to have these removed surgically when the number of chips in the arm gets ridiculous for anyone?
No i'm pretty assured they won't turn the park into a smelter plant, because it is currently illegal to put one there. Remove zoning laws and there are no assurances.

As a kid I hated kids like that and stayed away from them. After I saw karate kid I did the same thing I always did. I didn't find wrestling interesting.
Ok, so same thing for 21 year olds who have to be living in their parents basement in order to do this in the first place.
I think Uber has been the only one to give stats indicating that they help with drunk driving. I take option 1.
Two people feeding a family or five teenagers making enough to buy an extra video game a month. Two bus drivers are the better deal there.
Isn't the first rule of the new economy to through away everything that doesn't benefit us as an individual?
