You're confusing the kids in wool beanies and box frames with developers who aren't interested in, or able to court major publishers. Poor joke, but nice try. I suppose.

I wondered about that too, just sounds like an excuse. I suppose you could argue that collectively the bored teens and others making up groups like Anon have more disposable income than the military, but that's... stupid no matter how you slice it. They could just as truthfully say that they are outmanned due to there being more civilian net users than military.
I suppose they could be referring to other countries who've developed more resources to deal with a cyberthreat...

My first real pc was somewhat akin to Frankenstein's monster. It was cobbled together from used parts my cousin had bought by palette load at a government auction. We spent a few days somewhat randomly cobbling things together using his clone pc as a blueprint for what we should end up with. Took a few processors before we figured out there was a difference between socket types. All I remember now is that it was a 66mhz AMD. A 486, I believe. I had no case, so it just sat on my desktop in pieces and was used until I hucked it at fourteen when my parents bought me a clone from The Brick. Such a shame.

Even ignoring the political backlash, Social Security is a dangerous place to start simply because so many people are counting on it already. I absolutely agree with what you're saying otherwise. The obvious solution, at least to my admittedly civilian eyes is for the army to figure out how to get by without $600 toilet seats, or just call the whole show off.

The short answer was larger scale PvP. Our empire city spent unfathomable amounts of resources combating the rebel scum and destroying their installations. I'll agree though that before the addition of "the village" the game could be said to be a little light on real endgame content aside from that and a few specific challenges. That said, the change to the Jedi system that came with the Village was enough to put me off of the game when I'd already spent a few months with my swordsman/defenses stacker capped out on exp, They were bungling decisions in that game long before NGE.
