Everybody who owns a LEAF would own a Model S if it were $50k cheaper.;) My 2012 LEAF was $22k (MSRP at the time $37k) with Federal and State incentives.
The LEAF would work in your scenario easily. The energy economy of the Nissan LEAF is greater at slow speeds.... actually, 12 MPH is the sweet spot.. you could likely get 200 miles from the LEAF if you kept it at 12 MPH.;) Using the heater is a drain on the traction battery, but you've got seat heaters and a steering wheel heater and the ability to pre-heat the cabin before you leave. The 2013 model has a heat pump which is supposed to make heating the cabin more efficient.
...and bought a Sony-Ericsson w800i. Best. Purchase. Ever. No lame restrictions on how many mp3's I can have, and it has eliminiated the need for me to carry a phone AND an iPod. I also have the bonus of a 2 megapixel camera. Life is good.
I totally agree.. To some extent you CAN stream to certain cellphones now, such as ones that can run Real Player (I believe) from Nokia. Also, the Treo 600 can stream SHOUTcast. I've never had one of these devices to try it for myself, but I think it's possible.
I set up my own SHOUTcast server over my crappy DSL and use it to stream all my music so I can listen at work... I (and others) can request songs over instant messenger.. I would love to be able to listen to my shizznit in the car or anywhere using my phone. Sign me up.
BRAVO! I hate iTunes. I hate it with a passion. I can't share my iTunes library across multiple machines (mac laptop/win desktop/win wifes laptop). I have basically a single external USB hard drive full of music... and if I add music with one iTunes the others can't see it. It's a hassle to get them to be in sync.
I also don't like th iTunes GUI. I just want a little player up there, thats it. Instead, I have a bulky GUI to deal... Yeah yeah yeah there are iTunes "remotes" but give me a break.
OTOH, Winamp is what I like... but it doesn't exist for the Mac.
I graduated with a BS in CS from "Metropolitan State College of Denver". I had no problem finding work. Remember, in the end it's not WHAT you know, it's WHO you know.
Also a Denverite. I live in the metro area, but there is no DSL, Cable OR Ricochet for me. I am outside of all areas, and my neighborhood is sooo old that nobody gives a damn.
One of the local TV stations shows a map like this during the news to show speeds and where the highway is clogged etc... it's funny to see the average speed on some of the routes, 75, 65... when the speed limit is 55. Of course, you only see this when rush hour is just starting or ending... otherwise, it's 15-25 everywhere. heh
I'd wager that this number is much much much much higher for software engineers right now. Yeah, I can go get a job at wal-mart or maybe a waiter at Chilies, but I sure as shit can't find a software job anywhere.
I don't agree. While this might not be a solution for everybody (like YOU), this might be a great solution for certain individuals... Especially if they can get veggie oil for free or really cheap. I say this is a great idea! Sign me up!

Perhaps if the submitter Misspelled their listings they would sell better.

AND it works in the USA.
Yet another show that should have been made. D/L it and see for yourself. Glad I found the pilot!

Color me screwed.
I work for MCI. Color me curious.
Color me impressed. Seriously.
I built a simple powerframe. Works pretty well - good enough to impress friends.
Powerframe (Powerbook 5300c)

I'm building one from "scratch" - although I did cheat and buy Xarcade controllers.
...so I'm not sure how this do-dad would help me.
Cocktail MAME Cab
...without even looking at any other threads (cause I know 100,000 geeks have also done this)

I must be the only one signed up for iTunes with no CC. It was easy to do as well.

Just... please. Change the name. I can't stand "Lindows". It sounds so trite. How about something better. Like "clOS/e" ...
