I'm not a libertarian (then again most libertarians don't seem to like having that label either) but I find your post disingenuous.
Just as a disclaimer, some of my counterarguments use links from a libertarian website.
#1 The 1st amendment still offers protection, but those protections have been greatly diminished, especially since 9/11. http://sfscope.com/2009/05/comics-artist-mark-sable-detai.html has a story about a man detained by the tsa for a comic book script. And there are plenty of other stories like that. Sure, we may not got shot over it like in other countries, but for me that provides me with very little comfort. As far as the 2nd amendment goes, even after Heller there are plenty of states trying to not recognize the ruling (hell, even DC is trying to get around it).
#2 Abortion, anti-smoking, anti-drug, indecency laws. There are no shortage of people in the US who have no qualms about telling someone how they should live their life.
#3 I voted for Obama, but did so with a bit of wariness. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/06/26/AR2009062603361.html?hpid=topnews. Not to mention the fact that Bush was reelected.
#4 No offense to/., but bfd.
#5 I don't know about you, but I'm certainly no peer of most of the people in power. I sure as shit didn't get a free portrait of my dog, I won't be getting lifetime benefits when I leave my job, nor would I get a slap on the wrist for beating the shit out of a bar tender doing her job, bursting into a house uninvited, or being shitfaced behind the wheel.
Vyvanse is a controlled release adderall. I had it prescribed to me about 2 years ago. The stuff truly rocks. You become focused as a laser beam, creativity goes up too. Being an amphetamine I lost some weight while on it as well.
Obviously not every person who produces virtual child pornography is going to go out and produce actual child pornography as an alternative. However there is clearly a niche market for this kind of material, and it is going to be satisfied somehow.
When you prosecute thought crime the same as if the person had actually committed the crime why would someone who engages in this type of behavior not commit the actual crime in the future?
I definitely advocate newegg. Their prices are very reasonable (just picked up a new wireless router last week for $20) and the product reviews are very helpful. A good deal of the reviews are from people who know about hardware so generally speaking pretty reliable. I usually order from them once a month for close to 2 years now and haven't had any problems with them.
Unless Dell has some special arrangement with MS with regard to this, a new machine with windows installed as the OS has the price of the license bundled into the machine. You can refuse to agree to the MS EULA on the new machine and be compensated for it.
The right tool for the right job. Java is a perfectly acceptable programming language in many circumstances. The key is understanding what it is capable of and what its limitations are.
I know what it feels like to have something stolen from you, and I'm sure it feels pretty good that you got the phone back. With that said, imo what you did was pretty dumb and could easily ended badly in any number of ways.
What if the person simply refused to hand it over? Would you be willing to just walk away, or do you do something like engage in a fight with the person or try holding him down? That will probably land your ass in jail, and on top of that, if this just happened to be someone dumb enough to buy it from the person who stole it thinking it was legit, then you' re really in trouble.
Putting concerns about getting in trouble with the law, what if the person decides to assault you, by himself or with a group of people? Is an iphone worth your safety? Is an iphone worth your friends safety? How would you feel if this turned out badly, one of your friends gets killed, all so you could have your iphone back when there were other alternatives?
When you keep slapping the label of national security on something to keep it out of public view, eventually people are going to call bullshit on it. Then there will come a time where something legitimately needs to be classified and no one believes it.
I have a 901HA, which claims a 5 hour battery life under some conditions. I have found that to be fairly accurate. I run the oem xp as well as eeebuntu on here, both of which have a few ways of optimizing the battery life. I may not get 5 hours on the nose, but I routinely get 4+ hours, even using wifi.
It still amazes me how a far more complicated system (ATMs) have been used for decades with near perfect accounting. A system used year round, 24/7, and worldwide. I guess the difference is between when you have private institutions with everything on the line and when you have a government that looks at its citizenry as an ATM.
Perhaps congresses irrational fear of anything sexual will be a good thing in this case. Not to encourage their fears, but I will take any victory for liberty, however small it is.
One can take this argument and extend it to many other services. I hate telemarketers, but if you proposed something like this for ISPs, people here would be up in arms.

Or vote for another party for that matter, the end result likely being a Democrat or Republican still being elected.

From what I understand, a grb from less than 3500 light years away would destroy the ozone layer.

Or, you can get a gun.
IE6 can never die.
I am a fan of lavender.
A big difference though is that a well recorded LP is superior in many ways to a CD.

Explosive diarrhea?
I thought it would make all my dreams of picking cola off of carpet true, but it is just a smelly rag.
Let me be the first to call shenanigans on this.
I'll get the broom!

World, say hello to the new John Holmes!
The problem was, we couldn't build something like that, at that price, back then.
We couldn't build something like that at any price back then.
30 minutes? Clearly you are spending far to much time actually putting the screws in.
