It's not a strong indicator that no one really knows what they are doing per se. First of all there is a big difference between a private network that is cut off from the internet and contains access to a lot of very sensitive data and a public network with employees working with semi-sensitive data. Beside that it will always be a cat and mouse game and the type of browser (despite IE6 being very bad) with all currently populair browsers in mind wouldn't make that much of a difference because people will always focus on popular targets and Firefox is no exception. Why should Microsoft be held responsible for these issues? It's your own choice to pick a browser and no browser on the market can guarantee to be 100% safe, it rather begs the question why people haven't upgraded from IE6 to IE8 yet. I'm also pretty sure companies like Microsoft have made sure they are protected from liability suits when it comes to products like these.
Exactly! I'm so sick and tired of people saying "if you have nothing to hide why whine?" or "you must have a small penis if you're so concerned with body scanners". It's just none of their damn business and we've given the terrorists EXACTLY what they wanted, mass paranoia and giving up our freedoms for "the war on terrorism".
Add to this the fact that in a moment of hysteria the airport that let the Nigerian through (Schiphol) ordered 60 of the WRONG bodyscanners which would not be able to detect the kind of "bomb" the Nigerian was carying http://www.depers.nl/binnenland/366577/Verkeerde-bodyscanners-besteld.html (source in Dutch, since Schiphol is in the Netherlands). They are ordering the same bodyscanners in the US but possibly with the addition of x-ray scanners that are able to find anal insertions, I'm guessing these will only be used in case of doubt but are likely to be bad for your health (I have no idea to what extend).
Police in the Netherlands is already talking, and set aside money for research, about a mobile bodyscanner. I'm wondering what the next step will be, body scanners before I enter the bus or train? Body scanners when I enter the university?
The only reason I'm currently still using Firefox is because of some unique extensions, you can fully control how your browser looks and how it operates. With this functionality removed I would have no reason left to stick with Firefox.
Oh man do you need to learn about shortcut keys for Windows, next time you want to lock your system without a dialog hit your windowskey + L. About the pin to taskbar, never use it, I find it a useless feature and I'd rather find a way to remove the taskbar preview functionality in Windows 7 (they removed the option to remove it after R1, makes no sense). What library are you talking about? there are several. My documents is exactly like it always was? That last remark of you was totally useless and unrelated.
This has always been the case and is nothing new. This was already possible on 2k/XP and was actually abused by hackers like this: 1) Create directory and add a string that makes it look like the recycle bin (the folder will actually link to the recycle bin when clicked on by the user that tries to view the map and take on the same icon). 2) In that dir put whatever you want to be hidden from the operators of said computer 3) ??? 4) Profit
The "God Mode" is just a different view for the many things available in the control panel. There is such a thing as overdocumenting your software, this is rather an easter egg that happens to be very handy.
It's not google that is hosting the questionable content so why should anyone sue google for it? The problem is though, if you would sue the hoster or webmaster instead you might run into problems of websites being hosted in certain countries with almost no jurisdiction on this area or countries that simply don't give a damn.
Your point is very valid indeed. Also, where are the news posts about Apple being sued for it's operations regaring: 1) The iphone monopoly per provider per country 2) The appstore 3) Various applications in OS X
I'll admit that, thanks for the info, you'd think this was crucial information for the summary too though.
Everything put in perspective, it will only outperform the cluster on specific calculations so overall it's not faster right?
"the compact FASTRA II is four times faster than the university's supercomputer cluster, while consuming 300 times less power"
And the original supercomputer was how fast? 512 cores doesn't say THAT much.
I could compare my computer to supercomputers from the past and they'd say the performance of my system was amazing too.
Here are some addons I use in Firefox that might be of use for some:
CookieSafe, permanently ban google in specific from setting cookies (for example):
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2497
Ghostery, See who's tracking your web browsing and block them automaticly. (trackers like google analytics, quantcast, etc)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9609
Torbutton,Provides a button to securely and easily enable or disable the browser's use of Tor. It is currently the only addon that will safely manage your Tor browsing to prevent IP address leakage, cookie leakage, and general privacy attacks.

Despite looking great, Killzone 2 isn't THAT much fun.
It's the killer graphics that made it a hit.
I agree with you that it looks a lot like the oldskool games I played back in the day, like most opensource games.
This isn't really suprising since most of them run on a heavily modified Quake2 or Quake3 engine (this game isn't though).
There should've been some actual gameplay in the trailer to get a better impression.
What do you base this on?
When the source code of 2k and NT leaked everyone agreed that the code was good and clean, as what you would expect from a company as Microsoft.
You're just randomly throwing out bashes with no valid arguments.
Agreed, the game felt slow and I didn't feel like I was in control.
This was on the PC, for what I've heard the choppy gameplay was also due to it being a bad console port (what else is new?).

Actually I'm using several of these folders on Windows 7 x64, the problem is only on Vista x64 and does not apply to all the shortcuts.

Opera far ahead of FFand Safari doesn't exist? Either name those countries or imma call bullshit on this one.

It feels like the EU actions are very one-sided.

Could you provide a source to support your claims?

Not having a proper anticheat system deployed will be a bigger problem, like on warsow.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Did you even read this article?
Oh wow, we haven't heard that joke before!
Congratulations, I could do this on XP too (without 3rd party tools).
Actually, the true scene of "pirates" is still going strong oldskool on FTP servers. Nothing much has changed in years there.
