I don't really need or want a console. Nor do I think that the few console exclusive games are worth me investing in an xbox 360. Plus I generally dislike the xbox 360 as a hardware platform.
I think so, which is a shame I've been wanting to play Red Dead Redemption and I've been eyeing LA Noire as well but I don't think well see even a PC port let alone a PC version of either game. I guess I'll have to wait 4 years until xbox360 emulators become sophisticated enough to run them.
I quit my job as a geological surveyor for Exxon bought a plot of desert land with absolutely no significance what so ever and then out of coincidence am rounding up investors for a business that's just so happened to be named Black Gold LLC. Nope no conflict of interest ever existed here.
How about Mediafire? All those other sites seem like general file hosting sites, media fire always seemed to me to lean itself towards personal storage, and private if you choose not to share it. If I recall you have to choose to share each folder/item instead of it being shared automatically. They looked at the most popular sites but what makes those sites more popular is the public sharing aspect.
The quantity of metals you could mine from asteroids versus normal mining we do here on earth is vastly different, by several orders of magnitude. Plus you can avoid all those pesky environmental problems. Generally in space you can do everything bigger. Plus some micro gravity experiments have shown there are some materials that can only be made there. Besides that sort of attitude would of kept anyone from trying to sail across the Atlantic.
How about asteroid mining with solar pumped lasers, or gas mining the gas giants for hydrogen (or maybe helium if we ever figure out fusion). There is a lot of possibilities but we are lacking some very fundamental things to really make space exploration viable. Like a better propulsion system to leave the gravity well of a planet.
I really don't see how this can be a good idea. Trying to accomplish anything by letting it be managed entirely by what's essentially an unaccountable committee group is going to end in ruin. But hey maybe that doesn't really matter. Getting 300k euro + what ever government subsidies farmers in the UK get my be worth totally fsking your productivity and crop output.
I've found that most people can't grasp how big space is. I can on a intellectual level but most people don't seem to understand just how distance even the closest stars are. I've met a few who thought a lightyear was the distance it took up to travel in a year in a modern space shuttle. But wow Voyager is going itno the black, I hope it doesn't turn into a Reaver.
Can anyone do the math as to how long it will take the probe to reach it's next solar system? I realize the amount of time will be insane and the probe will be most likely (read definitely) dead by then but still it's interesting.
Documents on prisoners, in a prison facility is hardly the most sensitive information. It certainly has diplomatic ramifications of being released but as far as hurting US technical superiority or secret arms tech, it doesn't. Mostly all wikileaks does is dig up mud for people to fling. Which I'm not entirely sure is a bad thing.
Seems to me your kid is smarter for having read that book. And when she is offered drugs (because she will be) she will have that novel to include in her decision making process. It could of maybe have waited another year perhaps two but you can never be sure when the first time your kid is offered drugs is going to be.
They can be irrational if they want, bottom line the company wants to cut out game stop. If they do it in a way that makes it cheaper for me the gamer to buy their games brand new with all the content then I'm happy. Cash is king baby. So long as it's clear you're buying only single player content with the option to buy multi player later. I see no harm in it.
This sort of thing was discussed recently in the Extra credits (a weekly publication? on The escapist). They purposed that instead of trying to punish used game purchasers while trying to cut out game stop they should encourage them. Sell the game new for twenty bucks, with multi player on the disk but not accessible because hey it's just convenient. Then Sell the multiplayer as an optional online purcahse via xbox live or steam or what ever for twenty bucks. Total game cost for a new game 40 bucks, but the net profit for the game publisher/developer is more because they can charge twenty bucks for multi player and cut out the retailer on new and later used games.
Plus with a lower price on a new game, they are more likely to get exposure to a wider audience, with the possibility for more twenty dollar multi player purchases than if they simply did it to used game owners.

3d is hollywood's latest gimmick, plus they've support from electronics manufacturers who are trying to push 3d tv's since most people have at least 720 HDTVs these days and their sales are finally starting to drop off to what they should be.
I really hope these come with steam codes, like the last bunch did. That was really nice for me to have them on my steam account instead of keeping the unique download codes for the bundle version.
I know youtube doesn't allow adult content but what's to stop random people from streaming porn or something with one those apps that emulates webcams and streams a video. Are they relying on their report button? How fast will that work I wonder.

I'd think that was obvious, clouds are made out of vapor by definition.
I often pop my towel in the microwave for a few seconds to make it nice and toasty. I wonder if I've ever nuked me any chips?
Memory Part? Is that a technical term? Also is a missing 'memory part' all that common or uncommon? Could there have been any sort of sabotage?

ah sweet I didn't catch that, mostly because I didn't read. I knew i was going to buy it anyways.

That's what they said about the Jews.
You already donate it's called taxes.
I'm selling specially constructed eye protection devices to make your optical nerve, also known as sun glasses for a reasonable price.
