    Indeed, I read the article about Germany's plan to phase out nuclear power, and honestly it felt more like a short term grab for political power in the wake of Japan's issues to get more votes from the antinuke/enviormental crowd than an actual plan with substance.

Who the hell only releases demo's to pre orders, maybe if they let me play the game I might pre order it but I'm not going to pre order so I can play the freaking demo.     Avoiding the office suite stuff, would generally be a good idea. It's generally far less important to know how to use and office suite than to know how to actually use a computer. Let's face it computers are important for what they give us access to today not for their ability to make nifty graphs. Find something that teaches your kids how to research, effectively using the internet. How to find a solution to a problem in an area they really don't understand and how to do so with out taking two weeks to do it. In short 'How strong is your google fu?'

    No but to my understanding there are particles that are radioactive as a result. If I recall Chernobyl has a huge issue with radio active particulates getting distributed in the air and people breathing them.

    Hold the freaking phone. Last I heard, quantum computing was still in it's infancy and people had a hard time reading even 8 qbits or what ever. I don't remember reading about any fully functional quantum computers until just now. Is this just a well kept secret or has we finally entered the era of the quantum computer (at least for large organizations ala the mainframes of old).
