Before everyone starts speculating on why this was done and politics etc etc. Try to remember that people were killed and their families and they did not deserve such a thing regardless of your political affiliations. This doesn't solve anything.

I honestly don't see how this can be considered 'hacking' to me it sounds like cyber vandalism. A petty crime for petty reasons. Amazon had valid reasons for dropping wikileaks, they aren't crusaders they are a business. This is pretty much tantamount to being the jackass that sits at the red light until it's yellow and then gunning it through the intersection, to make the rest of the people behind you wait for the next light.

I love and hate all these videos. It gives me hope that perhaps one day we will truly travel the stars, and yet at the same time it reminds me how horribly primitive we are in our efforts to do so. I always imagine a space station to have well more space. Think the cheesy space station from the first fantastic four movie. Still maybe one day we will really have the motivation to travel the stars.

Christ what next declaring another stupid war, like 'the war on drugs'. How long before they start to censor sites with political views not approved by the government, or blocking sites deemed 'risks to national security'. I really get tired of my country trying to police and control everything. What ever happened to wanting more freedom.

I'm just an average guy, and have no desire to enter politics, nor would I be willing to make the compromises in ethics and beliefs required to get elected in this country. Nor do I have any belief that getting elected to the highest office in the land gives you real power when fighting an uncooperative congress and house. Short of a revolution (peaceful or otherwise) nothing will change here.

  17. Re:Because we want the Republicans to lose? on Sarah Palin 'Target WikiLeaks Like Taliban' · · Score: 1

I pretty much don't give a damn about politics, it won't matter who I vote for. Who ever gets elected immediately does an about face from their campaign platform and keeps going on with business as usual. I'm almost certain elections are just about giving the people the illusion of choice, when it comes to how their governments are run.

I just looked up the cost of CDs on amazon and most were between 5 and 10 USD so the music industry is claiming that she cost them the sale of any where between 2275 to 5550 CDs by sharing those 27 songs for well it doesn't say how long, but seeing as how she was a minor at the time I don't see how a company can justify ruining someone life, at such an early age over 27 songs. Then again that is the problem with corporations, they have more rights than the individual with no moral or ethical qualms other than serving the bottom line.

I remember the assault class in Battlefield 2142, having a rocket addon that essentially did the same thing. Terrible devastating in game, I can imagine it's as or more effective in the real world.
