MIT guys get are expected to get 160 grand right out of college? i could understand that an experienced phd would be shooting for that but your average graduate or MS grad?
wtf? did i miss the economic rebound? i know of positions paying less than 30 grand attracting 60 applicants.
i agree that crazy extreme animation would not get them the viewership they need, but the original poster stated that since they are on a cable chanel they might get away with more.
the line that you mention, while being very funny, doesn't seem like it couldn't have been said in an episode of "friends". (i apologize in advance for relating the two:)
i understand there are issues such as censorship and general aversion to cartoon sex acts, but it would be nice of cartoon network to break out of the mold and show some feature length anime (once a week, let's say) during adult swim. (stuff like metropolis, or jin-roh the wolf brigade)
that way they could be taking advantage of their cable chanel status and bring something somewhat controversial on air.
the parent is absolutely right! under no circumstances are we to create lots of minimum wage temp jobs! it would be against the spirit of everything the current administration has done to slash the number of jobs in favor of outsorcing and general fuckuping.
seeing as how they alienated lots (not all, but lots) of their hardcore fans, and i'm guessing lots of them are game players. and MMORPGs are not the kind of a thing that massively attracts non-gamers.
does anyone know how many non-star wars fans are playing galaxies?
after the last movie i have no desire to spend a single buck on matrix merchandise (except for maybe a monica belluci poster) and i predict this MMORPG will be a failure from the start.
remember how the first matrix was like 2 movies in one? they can fight in the matrix and they can fight in the real world. and it was soooooo good, and sooo cool.
now, it seems that one of the premises of the third matrix was "for every yin, there must be a yang".
enter the two crappy and disappointing movies that are matrix 2 and matrix 3! in order to ofsett the "goodness" produced by the first movie they had to put out 2 crapola sequels and bring us the balance which we so desperately need in our mundane lives.
on a side note? how the hell is this even close to a trilogy? if those asswipes concieved it as a trilogy why is there no continuity to the story? and for all those marveling in the beauty of open endings: do you know what an open ending is?
i agree, i couldn't live (well, i suppose i could if i had to) without "morning edition" and "all things considered". i even donated money during this pledge drive because i like their quality programming, as opposed to "donating" money to RIAA for their crappy music, by purchasing CDs.
i think one should ask "who really needs MSNBC, when we have NPR?"
dying wasn't the problem, with the bullet-time i would hardly die at all. but when i do die, i hate having to repeat the same old stuff, because there were no novel enemies or situations that haven't been presented before.
i did the same thing in half-life, and i didn't feel that the game was ruined. the monsters spawned differently, and the marines sure as heck acted differently every time i'd reload, so it wasn't always the same old crap.
so i don't think i ruined it for myself. i feel that the gameplay was not well balanced nor thought out.
thanx guys, i just saw the numbers and was a bit shocked, so i misunderstood it.
i'm equally shocked that it takes 160 grand to get through MIT.

maybe the judge will see it as a fight of advertisers vs. the public and will throw the whole thing out of the window.
and then the whole purpose of CSS will be as an advertising tool, and will be hated by everyone.
and then i'll wake up...
what the hell is the answer?
90 posts already down the drain...
yeah, in reality while it's fun to talk about that adventure, that mag exposed me to a whole new level of self-knowledge:)
you should consider yourself lucky.
i once bought a copy of "Juggs" only to find out it was a plumper special.
i agree with you. i am yet to see anything controversial on cartoon network that couldn't be shown on broadcast tv.

not so sure about that. i haven't really seen anything controversial on cartoon network.
correct me if i'm wrong, but even the adult swim seems very mild compared to most of the anime one can get at the video store.
but, are those white spots underneath the "spot" scars from the comet that slammed into it a few years back?

it is this.
the best review i've heard. at least you refer back to "The Matrix" as opposed to wachowskis and silver.
the kicker is that there IS a spoon, it's made of silver, and it's firmly lodged in asses of the Wachowski bros. and Joel Silver.
now you know how your significant other feels!
"it was a bit short though"
"I was dissapointed when two thirds of the way it
ended..."
oh wait...

hahaha, it is funny!
you guys just don't get it: "plasmotic overloards"
haha, get it?
i for one welcome our new funny bad-spelling overlords!
(let's see if it works for me)
thanx, i must have missed it on their page
how long can the battery last? i have my cell phone running pretty dark and quiet, and it still drains power like mad.
if one was to use this as advertised, what could we expect in terms of battery life before having to recharge it?
"hi i'm clippy, it looks like you're playing metallica and have bittorrent installed. would you like me to ask lars to stop sobbing like a girl?"
would be to have Clippy play air-guitar while listening to music. and include even more purple color in their default skin.
perhaps you're right. i'll just say that i didn't like the game (for the reasons mentioned previously), but then i'm wasting your time and mine.

by making it too easy.
the gameplay consisted of mostly save, enter the room, hit bullet time, shoot, save/reload, repeat.
i absolutely loved the graphic novel presentation and the noir genre, but i didn't much care for the actual gameplay.
