yes, i believe it stands for digital light projector, and it displays the image on any white/gray surface. they're similar to the LCD projectors you see used for conferences and in classrooms.
I absolutely agree. It really annoys me when people brag about their bigscreen tvs, plasma or worse yet rear projectors. I think to myself, you know if you had a DLP your whole freaking wall would be a screen.
So if anyone can explain what are advantages of big-screen displays over DLPs for home viewing, please enlighten me.
"an extremely durable form of matter never before experienced on Earth."
Maybe, just maybe, there is some of that matter on Mars! Imagine how cool it would be if the little rover could grind the surface of that matter and send us pictures, since nobody on Earth has ever seen it!
it sure is fast, but how easy is it to navigate, and more importantly how accurate is it? since it's going so fast, it must have a really small marigin of error to hit a target sucessfully.
i'm not sure if i would call it a financial success quite yet.
it doesn't look like the movie will domestically make as much as they spent making and promoting it.
while it did make a ton of money, and they can still count on DVD sales, it doesn't look like it's making the kind of figures they expected. i imagine the execs feel much like parents whose first two children became doctors, and the third one a bus driver. (nothing against bus drivers, but all things being relative, something doesn't quite jive)

but people also say that music is crappier than it used to be, and i've also noticed that college chicks nowdays seem to have bigger boobs than when i went to college. just because people say something, it may not be true, or even relevant. (but hey, if it is true that this "dimming" enhances physique, i'm all for it!)
where does bioware get their quality from? their KOTOR is just amazing. (although i can't compare it to any other RPG, since it's the first one i've ever played) it just goes to show that quality can still be found in new games, as opposed to crap we find in sw:galaxies, enter the matrix, or deus ex 2. my hat's off to bioware...
i've heard that halo2 is also being ported to osX, and there are already tons of other games (unreal, jedi academy((which sucks ass)), and many strategy games) available for macs.
i'm a fairly serious FPS gamer, and i recently switched to macs, and was surprised to see how many games are actually ported to osX. (although i still play mostly on wintel because of *cough* file-sharing issues *cough*)
here
how can the hole be closed if the title contains "copy this you"?
everyone will think it's some kind of a shareware kung-fu movie.
not quite.
rear projection TVs project an image on a mirror-like surface which then bounces the image on a screen of set size.
a DLP is just a projector which outputs the picture on any surface.

Here's hoping...
borg have nano-implants.
maybe we could google for it?
i agree with you, for example if one does a search for KOTOR walkthrough the 3rd and 4th choices are totally irrelevant.
but i'm sure the smart folk at google are doing something about it.
is that cognitive reasoning or "cognactive" reasoning

i've installed it and checked their TV stations, and was quite surprised to see all the streaming sex stations.
