Hell, the latest major patch for World of Warcraft was closing on a gig by itself. If I have two computers and two laptops that need to download it (for girlfriend and other visiting friends) I'm completely boned.
Granted I can copy/paste the patch file from one computer to another, but it's the principle of the thing here! There is this feeling I get from these revisions that "If you use more than a few gigs a month you're probably a pirate anyway"... it's REALLY easy to burn through a gig or two just doing normal non-illicit internet hijinks.
Someone mod parent up. God help me, it actually makes sense.
Granted, it's not "expandable" in the traditional sense that there will always be an increasing number of internet users, but at least it's not (covertly or otherwise) railing users for simply paying for a service.
I guess it was only dull to you because you didn't get to shoot people's faces off with a shotgun? Otherwise I'm guessing you're just a troll. Any reasonable "gamer" would appreciate this game simply for all the levels of meaning and interaction inherent in the game.
I found this game on Steam last weekend. Purchased it and beat it over the next day or two. It's not a terribly long game but WELL worth $15 for the quality (of graphics/music/puzzles/story) you get. It's quite an exceptional game.
As someone who just purchased (and finished) Braid this weekend, I feel that game was worth FAR more than $15. I agree though that the price point for a lot of "indie" games are about right. I don't think I'd have payed more for Audiosurf, or Peggle, or the Penny-Arcade games.
Honestly, it's a pretty generic control scheme. D-pad and other directional controls on the left. Button scheme on the right. Possibly bumpers on the top.
I would guess that over 90% of the console controllers since the original NES have had this button scheme. Some of them are more rounded than others, but I'm kind of missing your point here.
>> Banking officials there reportedly said the Microsoft Windows-based based bank system began disbursing the bills after a local prankster crammed an infected USB stick into the maw of the teller machine.
Have you watched Buffy lately? The first few seasons are MUCH worse than even Dollhouse. By the end of Buffy it got pretty good, but that was because you got so invested in the characters themselves and not the show's flaws.
Firefly (and probably Dollhouse) was/is screwed because Fox decides to take "creative freedoms" with Joss' work and completely fucks it up.
That sounds about right.

There is no exit sequence in the full game on the Steam version.

Evidence would suggest that those people would be somehow exempt from the tax anyway.
I don't see how your boss could have expected you to answer the phone with what is essentially a jet engine blasting noise at your face.
At least you had a hole punch... I had to use a magnifying glass and the power of the sun.
I get e-mails like that all day... this isn't news!
Even better... smashing your face with a hammer four times a day will remove up to 76% of your wrinkles!
You'll take three? Maybe they'll be on woot.com in a few years ... probably refurbished though.
I know the first Sim City had one of those.
I'd hold off: I'm sure we'll have an HD version out in a year or two.

>> 1. That future games will be a 2Mb executable that downloads all the game content.
Finally! Games on floppy disks again! No more need for cumbersome and easily damaged CDs!
This is probably publicity to cover up the fact that he used to use a Zune (which is, as we all know, WAY lamer than a totally hip iPod) :-/
You got me... so is there an achievement for being new here?
Man, I've been trying for that one all day!
I'm just doing the achievements for access to the new posting classes. Like Flamer, Troll and Sniper.
So many people have unlocked them already!
Not at 12:49pm! heh
I do not, but I will check it out when I get home (work blocks informative websites such as armor games)

Hah, if only that really worked.

But then you'd never get it because the achievement for getting all the achievements is part of the requirement for getting the achievement!
*head explodes*
