I guess, in theory, if you work from a single reference image that you know the exact date and time, and proportions (for measuring shadows) you could create a 3D world that was made from a mesh of user's photos. As long as you have the date and time (within a minute or two) and your image was connected to another image that was ultimately connected to the reference image (for scale) you should be able to calculate your lat and longitude based on shadows, knowing where the sun is in relation to the earth at that point in time. Kind of like finding your lat and long. using the stars and a clock, but with shadows.
Twitter is RSS with SMS encapsulation. I'm pretty sure there's a way to express that entire concept in 3 letter abbreviations but I'm not going to wast the effort on it.
Our ecommerce site went down at 10:40am CST (-6 GMT) due to an insane amount of traffic coming from China (different from your location). We finally blocked the IP at the firewall but an interesting coincidence.
Seriously people are still falling for this? If you do more than 100,000 a year with a bank you should automatically have a clause that states all assets transferred to Nigeria (or any country you don't regularly do business with for that matter) should be frozen until approved by person X, person X being some tightwad. Social engineering will always work to some degree but seriously people, wtf.
Hundyai dealerships in dallas keep advertising cars for $7999. TT&L is another $1200 at least but I know in college my first card was $1000, the second one was $1500 and by the end of four years the combined credit limit was $4500. If you played your cards right (pun intended) you could likely apply for and receive enough cards to purchase a car outright by your second or third year there.
Intel is basically putting a $7 billion bet on a turnaround in the economy
NEWSFLASH: Intel has been dumping 10 BILLION dollars a year into R&D since at least 1995. Did not RTFA, but if the blurb is to be taken at face value, the reporter obviously did no real research on the topic.
30fps is Good Enough for 95% of gamers, however 95% of gamers think 60fps is just barely acceptable. Go conduct your own double blind test and see if you and your friends can tell the difference between 30 and 45, and 60 fps. I bet you can't.
Cpu speed in relation to game performance stopped being relevant towards the end of 2007. Anything dual core with an 8600gt or better will happily play any modern game at 30fps with moderate visual settings at 1680x1050. The 9800 he included will run most any game at 45fps at 1080p. Call me when 120hz 1080p displays drop below $350 and we'll talk.
By joining into the debate anywhere but on the legislative and judicial level (where it actually matters), you're only strengthening the argument for creationism, if just on the subconsious level. Ignore them in public debate and their argument will die. Why must we keep dredging this up every time the religious zealots start to let this slide? If the zealots are losing their battle(s) in Texas, you can be sure they're not winning anywhere else.
My powerbook G4's original power adapter was rated to 28 watts, and it could burn a cd while playing gl quake over wifi, thereby using all of the components in the laptop at the same time. It wasn't till 2003 or so that Apple bumped the wattage above 48
My blackberry, and bluetooth earpiece both charge off mini-usb. I've got a mini-USB to nintendo DS adapter (fits in the DS case nicely) and the only other mobile electronics I use are my electric shaver (stays in the bathroom) and iPod (charges in the FM broadcasting cradle in the car) during my drive to work. USB 3.0 is supposed to handle 1.5amps, or three times what it is designed to handle currently.
Just because the company has the name "green" in it doesn't mean it's automatically a substantially better idea than what already exists (mini-usb) and what is in the pipeline (USB 3.0).
The idea of requiring bar patrons to swipe their drivers licenses as proof of age is still on the table, though.
Google "unicard plano". The city of Plano (1/3rd of a million, one of the 50 largest cities in the US) requires any group of 4 or less people swipe their card (done by the server out of the sight of the patron, but they still sign a reciept/"membership card"). This is to get around some equally orwellian Texas liquor law.
Back in the mid 90's, the Seattle Metro had about 20 servers filling up two cubes. They were all named after Fraiser characters from the same name. Some of the oldest servers were named after Cheers characters. Fraiser, Lilith, etc.

Whaaaaaah. I'm a cry baby. Listen to me rant on the internet. Whaaaaaah.
Aim isn't tied into the kernel, nor is it installed on all new computers.
This just reeks of a way to "securely" send viruses through a new security hole! No way in hell I would enable this.

Twitter is on par with Brangelina type stories. Find something more newsworthy to fill dead space with(!!) This is so frustrating.

Hey, buster, Texas joined the USA as an equal nation! Name another "state" that has their own national beer(!)
/uses the US dollar because the Texas mint has been closed for 150 years

More organizations need the term "hell-bent on" in their mission statement.

Congratulations, you've made the semi-finals for biggest nerd ever.
You have no idea how little I care about grammar trivia.

15 amps? All you need is a 10 port USB 3.0 hub and you're set, bro!
*hIgH fIvE!*
A micro USB->mini USB adapter is about $2 online. It probably costs more to ship it than to buy one.

*56k not avalible in all areas. FCC limits connection speeds to 53k
I forget how the actual line went, but it was on Every Box.
At least Wimba sounds like vista
