    When I built my new computer, I installed Fedora Core 5 on it.
    I have tried various Linux distributions, i.e. Caldera OpenLinux,
    Slackware, TurboLinux, Knoppix, and Ubuntu. I have settled for
    the current one, Fedora Core 5, just fine. The switch was not
    very hard!

    What about homeless, autistic mutes? Do you have to "verbally" say something? I do not like "names", to identify me I just hold up one finger!

    I am not against the "identify laws", just "talking to the cops"! Just stare at the police officer and twitch some and when (s)he asked for 'ID' hold up your finger for the 'ID'! In a few years, every cop in a Amerika will have some form of biometric reader to scan the anyone. So, this will be all moot in a few years!

    With memory usage at 35,856K. Mozilla 1.6 Released on a W2K box is a bit of a memory hog! I don't know why? Mozilla 1.6 runs fine under XP and Wins98SE!

    Why does Mozilla 1.6 eat up a lot of memory on a
    W2K box is beyond me?!

    My first computer was an OsborneII, it was great!
    I booted up dos on the a: drive and then loaded
    WordStar2000 or Lotus123. I saved my worked on
    the b: drive. Yep, those were the dazes!;-)

    NO! You lie! Not everyone has recieved a SSN number. Hell, I didn't get mine until 1986, when I got my first part-time job. Not ALL americans born in this country has a SSN, it is NOT illegal to be unregistered, yet!:-(

    He is upset because he was takin' a dump when the crapper blew!;-) Reminds me of the time when the plumber's assistant was pumpin' 2000 PSI of air in the plumbing system of a building. The tragic thing about that incident is, there was a big ole fat lady was sittin' on the toilet when it happened. She never did shit right after that!

    Ole David 'Lucifer' Cutler took a third of DEC Heaven's programmers to the other side!;-) I guess that what happen when management has it's head up something, something. FWIW, DOS is a CP/M clone. Although, I guess CP/M could be consider UNIX-like. Kildare chose the best features of UNIX, i.e. piping and redirection. And Patterson did well to emulate them. The question is, what would happen if Patterson could not have done his deed and MicroSoft was stuck with XENIX? We probably be running either a micro-XENIX OS or a 32-bit CP/M-86 OS. Oh well, just a thought!

    Why not just take your old typewriter and convert it to type characters from the computer serial port? Kinda like the old teletype machines that were hook up to mainframes. Give that old typewriter some useful life, instead of sitting in the closet gathering dust.
