    Except that if your company has no password policy and a bunch of bad stuff is done with a user's account, you can't hold the user accountable, because you are not sure that they did it.... and they were just following policy.

    Also there are pesky things like getting audited that come into play.

    Men's hand size vary quite a bit. If you look on male dominated gun forums there is tons of discussion about customizing for this.

    It's relevant to a discussion of the relative value of the Surface PRO. And the macbook pro can't be used with a pressure sensitive stylus.

    People have been protesting power lines since they first started building them. (I remember the big hubub in the 70s about them causing cancer) Does it matter that it is connected to a data center? Maybe they should have mentioned that those lines could also have powered a 3D Printer.

    Also it works with the full version of Photoshop, something you can't do with Apple tablets.

    Yeah by writing it, not speaking it. I don't know how many times a customer has given me a nonsensical requirement and when I asked them to write it down they then realized it didn't make any sense.

    Seems to imply speaking a language, which is not right at all. It's about writing a language. Maybe not coincidentally, male authors outnumber women authors by about the same proportion as in software development.

    I think it's an extension of best practice having only one return in a function... which I kind of agree with since it works into your try catch loop. If you need more than one you probably need to split break up your method into more than one function

    Well that's the issue- how much can they reasonably charge to register a 100$ drone? 10$? Enforcement and registration program cost will far exceed that. These programs DO NOT generate revenue.

    I agree with you- where I live they want you to buy registration stickers for off road vehicles, but enforcement is spotty to nonexistent at best. When you throw in the confusion over what is private/public land etc (I am in the Southwest) it get's really dicey. Checking drone registration is going to be at the very bottom of LE's list.

    The problem is that infinite growth is not possible over the long run and the earth has finite resources. Unfortunately our economic and political system demands it- deflation is considered unacceptable.

    The point was that I don't care about the performance at this point- just power usage. I think there are many people in the same boat as me that would upgrade their system just to save power.

    I have a I7 950 that is pretty old. It is still more than fast enough for my needs but would consider replacing it for something that uses less power. I would be curious to know how much it uses under the same testing conditions.

    BTW the i5 6500 avg 40 watts.... nice!

    Except that even if they follow policy and hand them into cyber security, the cyber guys will want to know if they have company information on them, and their computer gets fried!

    I don't understand the issue though- the vast majority of business applications don't require any computer science knowledge. If there is a need you hire a specialist. Somebody has to do all the grunt work...
