Sounds like a misnomer- distracted reality is more like it. Eventually we could have little VR bots going to the mall or work for us instead of our corporeal being leaving the house, but is this reality?
Millions of computers that would have been considered a supercomputer a couple decades ago are connected by high speed connections, yet there is no real market for unused cpu cycles even though there has been several attempts. Most of these computers are probably under 5% utilization unless they have a virus.
I am beginning to thing IOT stands for 'idiot on tranquilizers'
There is more to it than being technically capable. If you want to submit a change and aren't able to confidently able to articulate the how and why of it you are going to waste a lot of peoples time, even if the change is technically correct.
Fruit juices are just as bad as soda. Have you ever squeezed your own orange juice? It takes several oranges to make a restaurant sized serving. You would look at someone funny if they ate 3 or 4 oranges but that's exactly what you are getting when you drink juice.
Fake muscle (alone) would be a disaster. It takes a long time for your joints, connective tissue and even bones to strengthen through exercise. Boosting muscles would result in a lot of injuries.
For years I have been dealing with a certain cable provider for internet. I found that ask to have your service disconnected they will transfer you to a 'real' customer service rep.
Electric guitar manufactures charge a premium for guitars made in the USA. It would be nice if other manufacturers started to pick up on this. There are probably benefits too in having a certain amount of your production done in close proximity to your engineers and design team.
Suppose there was prediction a large asteroid was going to hit earth in 100 days with 95% certainty. I guarantee you would see a lot of this 'processing' going on....
You have to wonder how many accidents and deaths have been prevented by robots taking the place of human manual laborers.
You Could See Asteroids In the Night Sky...

A constitutional amendment is the way to override the supreme court.
What happened, the hard drive caught on fire and burned down the house?
Seriously though there is nothing catastrophic about a hard drive failure, it is just an is.
The catastrophe was this guy's back up plan.
Short and sweet, .NET was a response to Java.
A video about click-bait awareness would be great for the /. editors
Can we host this on a Beowulf Cluster of IOT devices? Will this attract more women into IT?

You don't believe that statistically poor people have lower impulse control? There are lots of poor people that are thin too...

Yeah I think you are spot-on. They are exploring ways to generate revenue without charging for the OS.

Yeah my experience has been with Music Man who make excellent quality instruments in California..,. not much with the larger makers.

There isn't really much you can do programming-wise that can outclass an i7 (1st gen) or better with an SSD as long as you have enough RAM.

SSD!
yeah I've got a 950 it is quite fast I have never bothered to overclock... have been thinking about upgrading it to a six core xeon though.
Really? Who cares about this guy's personal life. He's a scientist.
Glad somebody caught it ;-)
My razor has only four blades now I need eight.
