We already do this process now by the megaton- limestone is converted into cement, which absorbs co2 from the air when it cures. Too bad the process is CO2 positive.... There is no free lunch.
With an aging demographic, I am sure there are many older people who would gladly use a self driven car. The rest of us would be glad about this too;-)
I am not optimistic- gains in bone mass for instance are caused by micro-cracks that develop from impacts. It's pretty easy to see how a pill could create well muscled people with a fragile frame, cartilage and tendons.
I have found exactly the opposite- people endorsing me that know nothing about my skills, which makes me very suspicious of other peoples endorsements.
I am sure Larry promotes data capture of any sort, as it very likely stored with one of his products. And buying into the cult of the 'Super CEO'? Most likely a wink to his own narcissism....
None of the data talked about in the note was used in the final journal submission and the compound the author was referring to was what he claimed was a theoretical intermediate. I am leaning toward a misunderstanding in a hastily written note.
What I would like to see is some sort of software 'raid' solution where you could buy your own pure SSD and a separate hard drive to configure your own set up, perhaps with some mirroring of the SSD data on the HD to deal with corruption issues.
I would argue that any senior developer must have leadership skills- if you think your ideas will be taken up by other members of the team based purely on technical merit, you are sadly mistaken.
We always have 'project leads' that are there to help guide development on common path and to break ties between competing ideas. It is more than just telling people what to do, it is about building consensus. That's what leadership is.
My guess is it is really a statement about gun rights- if they become trivially easy to manufacture than banning the sale and ownership of guns will be pointless.
He's talking about cpus used in tablets and phones. By the time operating systems and applications are available to use these efficiently these devices will be in the trash.
Nintendo has always had a cost niche that set them apart from xbox and ps3. Why would they want to go head to head? My kids are older now and I am not going to shell out that much money because they want to play a few titles that they liked when they were younger.

You forgot about the proprietary dog food and having it's ears and tails rounded off....

Maybe- but you won't have to worry about them doing donuts or getting you sued because of them hurting someone.

Wouldn't cloning Lenin be more interesting?

Bad choice of words- unprocessed, or 'whole foods' is better than 'organic'

What about all the drivers that come with the usually very custom hardware that is on a laptop?

Thank you for providing the recipe for 'building consensus'

Isn't that what a summit is for, to resolve issues? The summit is cancelled because there are too many issues?

Change increases violence....
Kids and I always joke about them bringing back the Game Cube controller, which was their favorite.
