    More than that- the eyes orient you to the center of the head, which is important. One of the techniques you are supposed to use in soccer and football is to watch someones midriff so you aren't tricked by someone trying to misdirect which way you are headed. Kind of the same thing....

    The piers surrounding NYC have become worm ridden, the Hudson river used to be so polluted the creatures couldn't survive. I remember going through the Lincoln tunnel in the 70s and it would feel like your lungs would explode. Cars are so clean now you can't commit suicide by running one in your garage.

    I believe it is possible that epigenetics may have something to do with it. In many ways intelligence can be a liability when times are harsh- under bad circumstances a intelligent person may kill themselves or go into depression whereas a dullard would soldier on. In response to the easy times of the modern world our genes have the luxury of expressing more risky traits...

    The reason why this is done in China is that rare earth refining creates large amounts of toxic wastes. Doing the same process in the US following environmental guidelines is costly.

    I always had a problem with my kids not paying attention and not keeping up when I would go to the grocery store. So one day I walked away quickly so they were 'lost'. After 10 minutes or so I got them, they were teary but ok. I never had problems with them keeping up again.

    I would agree- the magnetron is driven by a high voltage/ current circuit that is hard to shield.

    It's very common for astronomers to refer to stars by their temperature.... red stars are cold and blue stars are hot. Betelgeuse for instance is 3500k.

    VMWARE has a product that will let you wrapper an application in an OS so it will run on newer operating systems. No business relationship to vmware, just trying to be helpful.

    No it's not. If you get dropped off in the Amazon rain forest you are going to have to learn about many things you wouldn't normally be concerned with or you are dead. It's a survival skill and it has nothing to do with stateism.

    From larger screen is more useful from a computing perspective- sure the dense dpi of the iPad is great for eyecandy but the larger screen has more room for icons or other interface items.

    That's complete bologna. Infrared passes through impenetrable haze and even dark clothing. I race with several people that race Baja and they prefer halogens for this reason- the hids create a white wall in the dust. If you go to Baja Designs they sell amber filters for their hids.

    Much more likely in my view is that as Xenon is the most reactive gas and is trapped in some kind of mineral or as a hydrate
