    Miners weren't illegally storing waste water. A mine exposes non-oxidized rocks (usually sulfides) to air and they become oxidized. These oxidized rocks are then easily leached by water and create acidic mineral laden water. This process happens naturally over time but can be accelerated by tunneling deeply into the rocks.

    I was a manager once and had to lay off people, it was the worst experience I have ever had at work. I ended up quitting management because of it.

    I'd be curious to know what percentage of clickbait article have built in logical fallacies. My kids used to play this game, would I rather eat worms or have my foot run over by a tractor. Do I have to choose?

    IMHO there no difference between knowing 2 or 3 commands in c vs 2 or 3 commands in an 'easy' language.

    There are vector extensions for c that make it just as fast. There isn't any reason to use Fortran any more.
