Just like CMB https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... scientists predict there will be gravity waves from this event. However none of the current instruments are near to being sensitive enough to detect it.
They are making very specific predictions about the number and type of collisions they will detect when LIGO comes back online in the fall. That's pretty much the definition of falsifiable.
Stupid and ridiculous.... they used computer 'simulations' or calculations to model these events and the observed signals were exactly the same. The science behind these discoveries is incredible.... and who are you?
I would agree that the average IQ of open source users is higher than 'all others'. However the pool of 'all others' is much higher....you have it backwards.
Seriously? Programming is the trivial part. The further I have gotten in my career the less coding I do- figuring out requirements and how to make business workflows work is the hard part and don't require coding.
I think that is the whole point here. Suppose Sony sells a 4k for 600$ and continues to sell and support the HD version... the impact on game developers is really small and not a bad deal for the HD users who more likely than not don't have a 4k TV.
I hate to sound like an old fart but I think we are at the top of the s-curve in computing.
I have it hooked up to a schiit dac and it is hooked up to my stereo.
Nobody has ever accused AC of being clever.
Not to be obvious but I think they meant 'taler'.
not to mention that with other automated cars behind them panic stops will have almost zero risk
And they do a really poor job of it.... like when they swerve to avoid hitting a squirrel and have a head-on with another car.
I have probably read LOTR ~ten times since I was a child. Not saying it's good or bad, just that there are varying views on the subject.
Basically the only only argument they could come up for staying was 'better the devil you know than the one you don't'
yeah we have a little thing called 'DNS' that has been doing this for decades

Yup, I remember installing doom from a half dozen floppies. Even in their prime we hated floppies and wanted something better.
Or number of teeth..... so people with more teeth more likely to buy software licenses.

LED lasers are pretty powerful now... seems like someone could create a computer controlled system to zap them out of the air.
Just for laughs, think of how ridiculous /. would be if users comments were recorded video instead of text.
It doesn't matter- the packages weren't marked hazardous or proper packaging. This is entirely amazon's fault.
Sulfuric acid will quickly corrode pipes but apparently has an inhibitor that stops the corrosion.
Seems like a good way to determine who to target for a licensing audit... match employee software keywords against companies.

If you were aching for 4k gaming you probably would have already done this.
That may be so, but the idea that middle class has it on easy street for college tuition is bunk.
