I believe that is the difference between a US keyboard and an english international keyboard, at least with apple equipment. Here in.at you can actually select between those two and the german qwertz, since about a year I think.
FWIW, I kinda prefer the "vertical" orientation of the enter key.
Then our experiences match, we just wanted different things. I wanted to use the incoming sip for being available where I have WiFi but no cell coverage (my flat). For outgoing calls I have europe wide free minutes. Oh well, I ended up using a X-link bttn to solve the problem at home. Other places I need to remember checking the sip status.
btw. The N900 sip implementation seems more reliable.
do you use the sip functionality exclusively for outgoing calls?
I have a E52 which I bought primarily for the sip client, but I've found that it's worthless for incoming calls, since it will get disconnected at irregular intervals and thus not available for incoming calls. I have been unable to find workarounds, even a scheduled reboot would help but seems require a signing certificate on my part.
Can it be that the earlier sip implementations worked better? (keeping an eye open for a cheap E71)
Sorry, link is in german, maybe babelfish will help out.
I have the austrian "hofer" equivalent, which is a pure data prepaid. It seems to work slightly differently in germany, where it's an addition to a prepaid voice sim. I'd acctually prefer the german style, but oh well.
I'd recommend combining it with a S60(or Maemo) Joikuspot compatible handset, that way you can use the voice part as well.
True, sorry about the missinformation. In my defense, the homepage has way better route descriptions than I could hope to provide, and I did include a link =)
It uses a bit of hightech and a special patterned paper to give a seamless experience. It's the same anoto technology as the Logitech IO, but now they let you print your own paper.
Are you quite sure about zfs working that way? When I bought my drobo a year ago it was not the case, zfs could not be expanded a disk a the time while maintaining redundancy (ie. expanding a zraid pool with a single disk). From everything I've read that feature will be added once the BPR (block pointer something) rewrite is done.
So again, have you actually done this, or have you (as I first did) concluded that it is possible from the feature list?
The foevon sensor exploits the trait that different wavelenghts of light penetrate to differing depths in silicon. Thus by stacking the sensors they can leave out the colour filter and just capture the "rainbow" at different points, red being available the deepest in the chip.
As someone else noted, the FUJI SuperCCD SR seems capable of capturing 11EV, and I've seen HDR images created from single exposures with multiple raw conversions.
The word google meant nothing (I know there are other views). And now some other organization should cash in? What are googles options here? 1. Pay and redirecto to google.com 2. Don't pay, someone else will, can google then sue for trademark infringement?
Does anyone else experience problems with the P2B series over time? We have about 30 asus p2b based computers in our department, and they start needing replacement at an alarming rate.
The problems show up as solid lock-ups, at first maybe once a month, and then escalating to several lockups a day. The problems can be reproduced with the memtest.exe produced by alegr software (free download) as a lockup on pass 4 (always pass 4). Already tried exchanging all other parts except the motherboard so Im pretty sure Ive narrowed it down.
My theory is that the capacitors dry out over time and thus fails to meet their spec.
Out of thirty wewe so far had five go bad, and the problem is difficult enough to reproduce for the vendors to blame it on software problem.
I used to think of asus as good products, now Im not so sure anymore.
scp is to rcp what ssh is to telnet. There are a few implementations of ftp through ssh but no standard that Ive heard of. The solution of course is to open a ssl tunnel and use ordinary ftp through it.
No, Im saying 486SX were 486DX chips with defect FPU so they just disabled the FPU and sold them as SX. I think there were ways to enable the FPU afterwards, never tried myself though. Also, later they built special 486SX chips without the FPU.
That is, if the defect only affects on of the cores disable that one and sell the chip as a singlecore chip. Seems like it would work even better on quadcore chips where one core more or less wouldnt really affect performance.
Short range is the point of bluetooth. That way you can have more devices without inteference. Its made to replace cables like the printercable, the cable between you mobilephone and your computer and similar. Its not meant to replace your inoffice network, thats what apple is doing with those airport thingies (IEEE.somenumber)
What I really want to see is someone building a nice mouse/keyboard combo using bluetooth, but maybe the latencies makes this a bad idea?
Sure logitechs wireless stuff might be nice, but it would be even nicer if you could use a standard bluetooth keyboard with your new shiny laptop with builtin bluetooth.
Oh btw, someone sugested bluetooth might jam wireless ethernet, I think if anything it would be the otherway around since bluetooth is really low powered.
Isnt there a Xserver for svgalib? If not, you could always use a combo of vncserver and the svgalib vnc client, then youre set. If youre (un)lucky you might get your X desktop in asci without writing a single line of code.

The first time you go to a site that didnt work in linux, (icravetv in my case), the windows version says the same, and then it offers to download updated codecs, after that it works again, I suspect its that extra banner stuff that isnt supported in the linux version.
Someone said the windows version worked under WINE though, havnt tried myself.
I always thought that divx seemed like a good idea, although poorly executed. I is only me that constantly forgets to return rentalmovies? So, provided the disks will actually cost something like a days rent in the system we have today its a good idea in my eyes.
Or are there other issues about it that I dont know about?

I wanted the same thing and found this firefox extension
http://www.customizegoogle.com/
It lets you enter filters (with wildcards) for the search results.
Now I want this filter list update automatically (like adblock), Oh well.

I wouldnt know but the loophole was obvious considering Kingston isnt publicly traded.

Except that the screen drains a pretty hefty part of the battery and that the StrongARM you mentioned is perfectly suited for a laptop.
