For the most part you can stop from 45 MPH in under a second and 25 MPH in a quarter of a second. The average human reaction for breaking is 1.5 seconds and I assume this is under fairly ideal circumstances. So I think all this means paying attention makes a lot more difference than speed (assuming you aren't doing 70 on a city street).
Google Glass and everything Nest are useless fucking trash. Even if they somehow becomes useful in the future, they'll never be worth the invasion of privacy and security risks.
Take your "IoT" and show up back up your own fucking asses.
You mean the invasion of privacy and security risks by adding a webcam and network capability to a device, like say a cellphone? Maybe we should outlaw wearing cellphones on the hip as they could be recording us!

Are you talking the same features caused by a device with a camera and network capability like a cell phone? We should ban everyone wearing cell phones on their hips because they might be filming us!
Well to be fair, in a lot of locations having Comcast as the only provider is the fault of city regulations. Of course regulation can also be quite helpful: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B...
Well, this is why you should keep your own bitcoin wallet. Bitcoin theft isn't a problem with bitcoin itself. It's a problem with where you're keeping your bitcoins.
Just like it is a very bad idea to hand cash over to an untraceable investment scheme.
FF and Chrome have had performance and memory issues as of late but for me IE has too many other issues. Tabs locking up on a webpage that lockup all tabs in IE or even Windows. Tabs crashing periodically (this I think is more due to the lousy business apps). Freezing when creating new tabs and all initial attempts at typing an address going into previous tabs (often loading the new page in the old tab). I like Chrome and FF handling of tabs much better.
You are not constantly sending my text messages every time I want to log in. It annoys me enough to deal with this the first time I authenticate a machine with Gmail but at least that is just one time.
This is why I took the Computer Engineering track when I had embedded development in mind. Though I don't think EEs have lower employment as we have a lot of EEs in my company working "CS" positions. Could be wrong though.
You obviously don't care about data security. Maybe when government contracts are no longer worried about WiFi being hacked we can get away from wired connections.
Never dealt with engineers from India or cavemen? Ok, cavemen is a bit of a stretch but I like "ME WANT!" for the image of a caveman drooling over a new club.
The Lenovo Yoga appears to be an alternative at a similar price range. Honestly the air does appear to be not unreasonable but personally I don't want laptops too small to fit an HD into, not to mention replace. I came across this when I was curious about the current prices of apple vs alternatives (since my last laptop purchase was 2013): http://www.gizmag.com/macbook-...
My knowledge of computer components these days isn't that high, I typically just buy what is good enough but not too expensive. That being said, how is the Apple not overpriced vs a Lenovo? Lenovo has higher resolution (me want, my laptop has way less than that...), both have same speed processor, same memory, I prefer the 1TB HD to the 500GB SSD but I don't think giving Lenovo the SSD would bring the price up much, I think the Lenovo has a better graphics card. Prices? Lenovo under $1200, Apple almost $2500.
Sorry, please to explain?

So we need to arm police cars with guided missile launchers? Would cut down on police pursuits...

Plutonium?

I wonder how many millions in cash is stolen every day in similar schemes.

But are there no thieves among honor?
Well yeah, how many wireless garage door frequencies or whatever they use exist?

Yeah I've got a Cyborg V.5 that I'm very happy with. Quiet, solid and the backlit keys can be nice. http://cyborggaming.com/prod/v...
What about those of us who don't have any choice in the matter and are forced to use IE? I suspect higher turnover due to annoyance with IT.

So we put the base in to fight the Vietnam war, lost, and now want to dictate its use?
Grand Rapids, Michigan got a bunch of Uverse in about five years ago with no Google stuff going on. Of course I moved out of range recently... bleh.

I don't use battery often and my storage is mostly on a NAS but if it works good for you, enjoy.

That has definitely be one of Apple's recent claims to fame, first to market on popular new styles.
