As a sidenote, here in Scandinavia the night is very bright now for a few months, it actually never gets completely dark. Couldn't resist bashing your analogy, sorry.
As far as I know the RC1 is equal to the Ultimate edition, so you get to try out all the goodies if you want to. Of course a netbook won't like fancy effects much, but at least it shouldn't be limited to three processes.
Well, this certainly bodes well, just have to hope that they emphasize the role-playing and not the action. I think this is a danger when they made the game 3d over isometric view, somehow many developers focus too much on the FPS parts when they do this. I have to admit that I was highly sceptical of F3, partially because of this, but they certainly won me over after a couple of minutes play. Just have to hope that Obsidian does their job and the game will be playable at launch and not after 5 patches...
Well, seeing how at least one law against the constitution (homeland security anyone?) has been passed quite recently that probably isn't such a big obstacle..
When uncle sam needs your money he'll get it, just as in any other country the state always finds a way
The reason i have a jailbroken iPhone (legally unlocked, bought it in Italy) is the way the App Store apps are crippled. The apps from cydia have much better functions in many cases, as a simple example the flashlight app, the one from cydia can override the screen brightness settings, which makes it actually work, whereas the official doesn't. Also apps like intelliscreen and others like it make it clear that I will still jailbreak my phone at 3.0.
Actually, I saw another interview with this guy, where he was talking about pocket-size cameras, and not about the bigger systems, where the better sensors make it useful to have more pixels without ending up with a grainy picture.
Well, don't know you're just trolling, but FYI the law (Lex Nokia as it is called) has not yet been passed.
Also the climate is very favorable, cold winters and not very hot summers...and I suppose the quite cheap electricity, good infrastructure and abundance of highly trained CS engineers in Finland does not hurt.
At least with Vista all the versions were included on the disks, and depending on your serial you were able to install your specific flavor of crippleware...
Perhaps a bit off topic, but why is a Canadian retailer named Eurocom? Some identity crisis going on here? Of course, planning on sticking an i7 in a laptop does seem to indicate some mental instability...
Once again I am happy that I live in Finland where a university lecture is a public happening where anybody can walk in and take notes at will and have the law on their side (though I am yet to see this happen). I do think that actually taking something from inside your bag sounds a lot like theft.
This is my only wish (have not tried the beta yet, perhaps this is possible) is to have the possibility to clone the taskbar, or strech it, over multiple monitors. I know there are third party apps that do this, but that's not an ideal solution. The way the OSX dock works is great on multiple monitors, why is this so hard on windows?
I had quite a nice schedule working on a Cruise ship, one week at sea, then one week at home. While at sea our workdays were 11,5h average, but it was pretty nice to have a week off. Our bosses had the even better schedule 10/20, as in 10 days at sea, then 20 at home.
I think that not only is the issue with the servers crashing or being compromised in some other way, but what to do when you have problems with your internet connection? Slow or flaky or just insecure, any of these scenarios disable you completely if you don't have a local copy of the file and a local editing software.
Indeed, technically almost all manufacturers have "iPhone killers", but I have still not seen one that matches the ease of use and the app store. For example Nokia's upcoming N97 is technically far superior to the iPhone, but being built on Symbian it will never be better than an osx based phone. Palm have not exactly convinced with their previous models, and it seems that this PcPro article is just another marketing department win..
This is actually right on the spot in my personal experience. None of my less tech-savvy friends could tell the difference between Gates and Jobs, and most don't even know who Jobs is. Jobs leaving Apple could perhaps have an impact on the products of the company, if he indeed has as a big saying on what/how they do things as it is believed, but for average joe it makes no difference.
I completely agree, Tetris can be both fun and exciting, and I find the fact that it is "unbeatable" relaxing in its own way. Because you know you are going to lose at some point it takes the pressure off.
Maybe there is as much stimuli in a jungle/forest, but bear in mind that our brains have been tuned for that over a long time, so it is probably not unnatural and thus as hard for the human cognitive system to cope with
Yup, he probably typed his password at most a few dozen times a day, while spending the rest of the time hacking into databases, which I somehow believe requires quite a bit of typing...
well of course, if he used letters common in English and a lot of brackets and such then they may very well have used this, but as the parent says not very likely.
Well, GM and Ford kind of did say that, and look in what state they are now...especially GM...

How is Twitter harmful to panic? Should we all use Twitter to guard ourselves against Swin-Flu Panic? Help, I need to sign up for twitter asap then!

This is just another trick from Arnold making sure Skynet (TM) has enough power to run when plugged in...

Yes, I for one applause that he had the guts to steal from the thiefs..too bad that the goverment does not like getting robbed.
