In addition to previous suggestions (check software and firmware versions), be sure that "live updating" is checked on your smart playlists.

  2. External Antenna Port Worthwhile? on Power Over Ethernet for AirPort Base Station · · Score: 2, Informative
I have an AEBS with no antenna port and no modem port. It is located on the 2nd floor of my house. My coverage downstairs is not as good as I would like. I have considered getting a new base station plus a Dr. Bott omni to give me better range, but some discussion on the Apple forums has given me pause, and this guide from VonWentzel implies that a +dbi antenna will only give me more range in certain directions. So it would appear that the "omni" will give me better range while I'm on the 2nd floor of my home but poorer range/reception when I am above or below my base station.

Has anyone else tried these external antennae, and if so, has it resulted in better or worse signal when above or below the base station, compared to using an AEBS with no external antenna connection?

I truly doubt that Apple would just raise prices to $1.25 without a fight...
That's exactly what I thought when I read the article about this yesterday in the Wall Street Journal. If you remember the leaked details from CDBaby (archived here by GnutellaNews), Apple requires that "songs must be 99 cents each."

From that, it seems unlikely that the labels could raise the prices beyond $0.99/song or force "bundling" of songs without some extensive renegotiations. Apple only recommends that whole albums be $9.99 or less, so this is where labels can (and apparently have) raise prices if they desire.

From the summary: "2006 changeover to HDTV."

IIRC the changeover is merely to over-the-air broadcasts, and would be of DTV and not necessarily HDTV. In other words, providers could digitally broadcast standard-definition (480i) signals if they chose to do so, which would be better than analog 480i, but it's definitely not high definition (720p, 1080i/p). They would do this so they can broadcast more standard definition signals on the same allocation of bandwidth that they would otherwise use up with one HD signal.

Only if they remember the brand. You remember the salmon commercial but you don't remember the brand. This was a funny commercial that got people's attention but in the end probably has not had a lasting impact on improving sales of their canned salmon. For instance, the commercial was for John West Salmon. If you Google for "john west salmon" all the links on the first page are for the ad, and none are for the John West Salmon corporate page.

Past winners are here for your reference. Connie Willis has won 6: best novellette for "Fire Watch" and best short story for "A Letter from the Clearys" in 1983. She won best novella for "The Last of the Winnebagos" in 1988 and best novellette for "At the Rialto" the following year. In 1992 she won best novel for "Doomsday Book," and best short story for "Even the Queen." It's worth pointing out at this point that both of those also won their respective Hugo awards.

Other big winners of Nebula awards are Ursula K. Leguin (with 5, with 3 for best novel), Greg Bear (with 5, 2 for best novel), Joe Haldeman (with 4, 2 for best novel), Samuel R. Delany (with 4, 2 for best novel).

Are people actually buying penis enlarging pills and patches, herbal viagra, mortgage refinancing, credit repair kits, or any of that stuff?
Let me take a moment to tell you my sad story. I was in desperate need of penis enlargement, and so I did start ordering those pills. But they proved hard to swallow, and the patches were itchy, and I had an allergic reaction to the herbs in the herbal viagra. Unfortunately, I bought so much of this stuff that I had to refinance my home, and the bank wouldn't approve my loan because of all the penis purchases on my credit cards. So as a desperate last measure, I ordered some credit repair kits, but that didn't work either!

Fortunately, this story has a happy ending! As I wrote this message, some polite people in West Africa contacted me and I think they are going to get me out of this financial mess.

'm sure glad they put "more modern" in quotes, a Times New Roman was introduced in 1932!
Also, from the same page, Courier was first designed as an IBM typewriter face. IBM started as Computing-Tabulating-Recording-Company in 1911 and its name was changed to IBM in 1924. So it is possible that Courier predates Times New Roman. However, Adrian Frutiger redrew that font for IBM selectric typewriters, thus creating Courier New in 1961.
