if you don't install new extensions on a regular basis, and you have a lot of plugins installed, this is a quick way to get all of them working again. esp since most of the plugins won't be updated in a timely basis.
i believe part of the EPP draft deals w/ using BEEP as a communication layer.
the.biz registry wanted to do an initial roll out of this when the tld went live, but there was a lot of push back from the registrars b/c of timeframes and "newness".
what better way to fuel the economy then the gov't saying they will somehow finanace the rebuilding of the towers and thus create massive amounts of jobs in the process.
wow - i've had one too many beers and puffs since i got home today - i mean DO NOT CONDONE - this action is horrible - and i'm sitting here poised over my phone waiting for news that someone is ok.
my appologies to all who read that and wonder what the hell am i thinking/saying.
absolutely rebuild them - and not only rebuild them, but make them the tallest buildings in the world, and have all other countries who condone this action not only help, but agree never to construct anything larger as to help preserve such a great memorial.
i sit and stare at the nyc skyline every night from my aptartment, and it is amazing. every night it is a little different, and it won't be the same until those towers are back and lighting up the nyc skyline.
i guess some ppl have no sense of humor - i thought the taco bell story was pretty funny - and so did all the other geeks i work with.
boy slashdot sucks as of late (btw : this isn't trolling, it's just my opinion - as stupid things like this used to make their way into quickies, which seem to only now make a rare guest apperance on the site).

i saw this last night too - and i have to say it was an ok movie for the most part. parts of it were pretty predictable, and i feel that i had the open source movement shoved down my throat a little too much, but otherwise not bad at all.
i don't think there were a lot of geeks in the theatre i was in last night, b/c a lot of ppl missed out of a ton of "jokes/coinsedenses(sp)" of the movie and microsoft.
i agree. i only own kenwood audio products in both my apt and my car. i've got one of their mid-level recievers and it kicks ass.
i also have their cool 200 disc cd changer (cd-425m) w/ the serial link in the back to allow cddb lookup via the internet. started working on a linux program to interface w/ it, but i haven't had much time for it lately. hopefully soon tho.
it's a pain in the ass having to figure out serial dumps.
What it comes down to, is that VHS and Betamax were both good enough for the consumers. VHS had more software. Thus, VHS won.
really? i was always under the impression (and read) that beta didn't fair well b/c it produced better quality copies then vhs did - and the RIAA/MPAA wasn't really happy about that and did their best to put an end to it.
kind of the same thing w/ decss but in a different technology time.
don't hold me (or them) to this, but according to SuSE - they should be releasing 7.1 by the end of the month, beginning of next month w/ 2.4 as the default kernel.
i'm planning a hardware upgrade myself and would rather do a fresh install.:)

there is an easier way to handle this.
enter "about:config" into the url bar and look for "application.extensions.version" and set that value to ".10".
you will have to re-enable all your extensions by hand after restarting firefox. it's much easier then editting individual plugin files.

hahahah - you think it was a nightmare for you? i work for a registrar and i can't even begin to tell you the horrors that i experienced.

wrong book - the book you mean is debt of honor. only instead of hitting the pentagon, they hit and took out most of congress.
thoughts to all poised by the phone and email worrying like i am.
they've done this in new york as well. i was walking down the street the other night and i thought i was seeing things.
pretty ballsy (sp).
while i do realize it's april fools day, this is a really poor attempt at a joke.
as i recall, this "joke" has been said long before today.

well - i can't answer how much of that 50 dollars a programmer sees when they produce a game...
however, music artists see a very SMALL percentage (pennies) of that 15 bux that we are paying for their CD, while the labels/RIAA sees the majority.
if more money went to the artist, 15 bux might not be so bad...but until then
two or three weeks ago, when they had the tennis court was hilarious. especially when bart was playing w/ the water and homer "played" a tune.
d-link makes a wireless access point w/ a built in hub. it's not hard to find if you look. i'll even throw in a link to it
any info on when the widescreen version will be released here? i'd much rather have that then the full screen.
hehe - my voltron was taken away as a kid b/c they were done w/ lead paint and were recalled. it was one of the saddest days of my childhood.
but - i did find one on ebay once - pretty good condition w/ some sticker wear. now it sits in my living room for all to be jealous of.
doh - bad form...

i especially liked "bill who?".
umm - i was only stating that i have their products in my car and my apt. the rest of the post was about my home audio equipment.
perhaps i should have specified that or i fell victom to trolling.
