The claim is that it would last about 170 of normal use - but now everybody (like you) are saying ooh, you can't write on it because that will wear it out.
Apparently you can still view the disk if you don't connect the player to the net - but how long until you have to "authenticate" your DVD? We've seen they have started to do with it with computer games, and for games like Spore only 3 times.

They chose the name only a few years ago, they could have picked any other name - regardless of what it is based on - like movies do a lot of the time.
And they did make up the name, Warhammer Age of Rubbish (or something, don't get hysterical kids) - hoping for a shortening of the name like Wow
