CIOs buy open source tools all the time - and they pay RedHat or Oracle to support them. However - no CIO is going to spend real dollars, dollars which will get him fired, on unsupported software, no matter how cool the user forums are.
Since your first laws didn't immediately produce a well ordered, polite society of Internet users, maybe realize that you can't legislate taste or manners, and STFU?
Making NW 2.15c mount a 4 GB volume just so you can say you did it would not be fun today, but back then it was work, and clients paid for it. I'm glad it wasn't a VINES server.
And the outcome doesn't look positive. Police/Feds/DHS/TSA are all salivating over this - they're thinking exactly how to collect, store and use this information.
There are RV associations which will help you with this. You will need an address for things like bills, insurance, registration of your RV, etc.
Invest in some solar. A handful of collapsible panels will keep you topped off and powered up while you're stationary, no need to run the internal ($$) generator or try and run off the main engine. In fact most main engines on RVs aren't equipped to power the interior. See about getting additional battery capacity as well.
The creator’s concern is the conquest of nature. The parasite’s concern is the conquest of men. The creator lives for his work. He needs no other men. His primary goal is within himself. The parasite lives second-hand. He needs others. Others become his prime motive.
Linux does just fine without GNOME. Does it work the other way?
And your driver's license lets you vote in CA, does that mean these cars get to vote? Can they vote themselves "car friendly" politicians? Will we be talking about "vehicle rights" in the next election?
The color and shape of desktop window widgets is irrelevant. Being able to browse a remote site via SFTP in a standard "Explorer" type view is irrelevant. When you get a working Exchange client, and a drop-in replacement for the Office suite (INCLUDING VISIO) then Linux on the desktop will be viable.
Things like hitting the 1GHz mark first, and making a workable 64bit chip that also speaks x86 only get you so far. AMD needs to come up with something cool, else they're doomed to play catch-up.
"Granted, the included antenna isn't much and the performance of the receiver is not spectacular, but for $20 or $30, how can you complain?"
You can't complain, but you can find it irrelevant. There's almost no useful content on FM radio anyway.
Turning a $20 dongle into a HAM transceiver, THAT would be useful...
You're always better off with Technet - then you get ALL the s/w for the same price.
It is 2012. Nobody on the planet should be in needless pain.
+1 if I had points. I have some left over vicodin (filled the prescription, never took it, thanks doc) for just this sort of emergency.
You must be new here.

Any reasonable laptop has a 2nd battery that replaces the optical drive. Maybe you shouldn't have bought an HP.
You sound gay. "pro audio" - yeah right, Mr Internet Tough Guy.
I'm sure everyone wanted to throw your phone (and you) overboard. It's douches like you who ruin outdoor activities. "Yo dude guess where I am !!!"
It's been going on for a while. Didn't you buy helium futures 5 years ago?
So you install Linux, then put VM+Win7 on it so she can get work done?
Sounds like YOU are the one not adding value.

You people have football fields too.

You sound retarded. And gay.
It's a phone.... why do you need 32GB of storage, LOCAL to the phone? Do you have that many friends? Is your addressbook THAT large ?
What need did it fill that was not satisfied by other online payment systems?

In a panic, will we try and pull the plug?
If we're moving closer or farther from the Sun, shouldn't the differences in gravity make time flow at different speeds?

Why is the government proposing any standards for computer BIOSes? Can you say backdoor? Can you say "abuse of the Commerce Clause" ?
Unless you use TrendMicro or any of the vendors who have a "cloud" solution.
