  1. Re:cut your dosage on Best Way To Beat A Caffeine Addiction? · · Score: 1

Whoa.... the coffee in Spain sucked? I spent several months there and have to say the coffee is much better. I suppose if you prefer cheap watered-down stuff then it probably sucked. After all, if you tell them you want American-style coffee they add a large amount of water.

On caffiene addictions or physical dependancy, quite a bit of it is psychological. I'm not discounting the physical symptoms but having gone through all of this and doing a bit of research it seems to be a complicated issue. For one thing, caffiene should be leading *to* an increase in headaches since it constricts blood vessels. Based on personal experience, a few years ago I tried to stop drinking coffee and experienced very severe headaches. I was sort of forced to quit drinking it for a while this year and didn't even notice a side effect at all. Dunno....

I agree, that when comparing computer RPG D&D-inspired combat to the real thing that ToEE is the only one that comes close.

The only problem is - how do you successfully translate that into a multiplayer environment? Would ToEE-style combat even work in a game like NWN? I'm not talking about realtime vs turn-based, although that would be the major issue.

Anyway, would be fun if there was a possibility of such a game.

Since when has democracy in America not been "for the cash, of the cash, by the cash"? Since the inception of the current state, it was this way. Even our founding fathers, while espousing human freedoms where simulaneously hoarding large groups of rights-less people known as 'negro slaves'. The purpose of those slaves were to help their owners make money. It's always been about the cash. Note that I'm not trying to discredit the founders, just pointing out that the U.S. has never been that imaginary ideal free society. Just being pessimistic.

As a matter of fact, they will never give it up. Never. Even if they were to do so, someone else would come along and take thier place.

Global society is a very long way from leaving those 'terrible twos' and the path going forward is not going to be pretty. Those who believe they will lose from 'growing up' will fight kicking and screaming at the expense of everyone else.
